Hello everyone, I've just uploaded my new track: Suburb Speedway! I started at the beginning of February, and it started to seem like I'd never get this track done. But finally, after a lot of time and work, here it is!
Backstory:
This suburban neighborhood was once a peaceful residence, until Modnation fans realized that this place could be an excellent location for MNR racing!
Mr. Wilson soon got an approval from the mayor, and before any of the residents knew it, their once small and peaceful neighborhood had now turned into a race haven for MNR enthusiasts.
Overview:
This is a birds eye view of about 1/3 of the track. As you can see, most of the track consists of sharp corners and intersections.
One of the hardest things to build in this track was trying to make 25-30 houses that looked individually different from each other when I only had about seven "normal" looking houses to work with. I think I pulled it off, but I had to use every trick in the book.
Of course, sticking to the road isn't a requirement in MNR. Some shortcuts are easy to spot, while others are more hidden. For this particular shortcut, I tried to get the sun at just the right angle so that it sat glimmering over the trees.
Watch out for the people moving in across the street! You never know what might come out of those trucks!
Even though this neighborhood has become a popular racing spot, home developers continue to build new houses here.
The community even has their own park! Here, residents can ride paddle boats to get an up close view of all the racing action!
Summary:
I put a lot of effort into this track, so I hope everyone will enjoy it! As always, if you have any feedback, please let me know, and don't hold back! If it stinks, just say so! ![]()
Also, once or twice, the fountain in the park sank underneath the water. I believe I've fixed it for good, but if it happens again, let me know.
Thank you for checking out my track! I know this was sort of a lengthy post, so if you read it all, kudos for you! ![]()

Some really good stuff right here. Ive always wanted to see a track like this and you did a pretty great job. Definitely kept me entertained for the whole time.
Feeback:
On the first main straightaway, i would take out the green boost pads and maybe put in some orange ones, cause i just got going too fast that i blew right past the turn each time i raced it.
Really liked the shortcut through the wooded area and good use of the boost pads on that following straight away, it sped it along nicely.
The shortcut right there before the turn is really cool, but at the end of it, place a chevron so the racer knows which way to go popping out of it would be a good add. Also terrain brushing a path with the dirt looking brush would help the racer to know to continue on straight as well.
Shorcut in the construction are was cool too, but maybe add more height to the jump, cause it seems to be too good of a shortcut.
The rest was great.
Hope that helps, and remember those are just suggestions, if you just leave it as is, great track still.
5*

Sorry dont know how to edit, but i raced it a couple more times and i wouldnt say change the height of the construction jump anymore, i timed it out with the ghost racer and it gave it the just about perfect amount of distnace and height.

Thank you for the quick feedback! I'll fix the couple of things you mentioned, but it won't be until tomorrow.

Wow, there's just no way I'll get to test this track before tomorrow, but still.. Looks amazing. Just the kind of track I would like to make if I had the skill and/or patience.
Can't wait to test it out!

Adjustments have been made and the track has now been republished.
1. Changed two green boost pads to orange.
2. Added chevrons to a shortcut's exit.

Agreed, this looks brilliant, obviously you've spent a great deal of time on the look and unique feel of the surroundings and for that I believe you will be rewarded with many plays and downloads! ![]()

how many hours you've been spending on this track? Can't wait to host it in some casual and trying to have it as a hot lap <:3

Tried it today, here's some quick pointers that come to mind.
+ I liked the scenery, and as mentioned I'm a sucker for these suburban type tracks
+ The difficulty level was pretty good, once you learn the track I'm sure it is possible to drive fluently, but it has some tricky turns as well
However the scenery and track layout caused some problems.
- in some parts it is difficult to see where the road will go and drive off track (although the map usually helps)
- since the surroundings of the track are open and there are little visual clues it's hard to say how far you are allowed to cut corners, and..
- most shortcuts are very difficult to notice.
I gave it a 4*.
