Just finished up with this track. I present "Eastern Edge" for MNR GP 2012. I went with the style of a small town that quadruples in population during the race season. It goes around a lake surrounded by mountains. I did this track to test our racers skills with handling their kart.
Ten pictures for you to see. The average lap is about 40 to 50 seconds, give or take. It is meant for action races, but boost pads are present for pure. It is not all that hard, however, a few corners are a challenge. (Not possible to fall into water.)
A small town. An important race. -Exobud
Any problems? Write your comment below and I will work on it. (Current schedule: Friday-Sunday.)

I thought it was good, turns were hard and fun. I have a couple of personal dislikes, e.g. I didn't like how basically every shortcut was blocked by those blocker things and I think you could've improved the banking a little, but overall nice track.
I gave it 4*.

At least you are being honest. Yeah, I was worried someone would talk about "turn-related dynamics". Maybe we need a "smoother turns tutorial".
Thanks for the honest feedback. -Exobud

Yes, I think we do too. I haven't got it quite right yet either!

Beautiful track, good scenery work. ![]()
What I'd suggest for your next tracks is to not start a fence on a curve because if people end up missing the corner they'll have to reset. Also rocks on the outside of a tight turn isn't the best choice in my opinion (people get stuck there).
For "smoother turns", what I do is keeping the inside of the turn at the same level or lower than the outside of the turn. Also smoothening the track just before the turn so that there's no bump to throw racers out of the track is a good idea.

Hey, tried this track last night. The main route flows excellently and it's such a quick race, the corners seem to fly at you faster than I can react, lol! I agree with ripper about the starting fences on corners, also, on lap 1 half the pack went careening into the rocks you used for the first turn, it was CARNAGE! Also, a bit more banking would be helpful and the shortcuts were a little rough around the edges unless you managed to get through in a straight-line.
Good GP entry! ![]()

I saw this entry in Fresh's video. I got to say, the turns are pretty brutal, especially the first one with the rocks. If you are going to use rocks as a barrier (which isn't bad), try to at least bank the curve, tipping away from the rocks. Either this or open up the line to it to give a visual to the racers that they are ahead. Or combine the two.
It's a nice track otherwise. Good job! 4*
