Definitely not for the MNR tour as this was started just before my PS3 crashed - it was always intended to be 'just a rally' and not designed to belong to anything beyond my own head.
It combines the Jungle and Far East themes, takes place shortly after sunrise, features a couple of alternative routes, and has no jumps or hazards. It's quite tricky in places; despite generous chevrons and track width, some corners are deceptive. I've published it with medium difficulty - would be interesting to hear how others rate it. Some pics:
The left-hander after the start is friendly but, as the track makes a gentle descent, the right-hander in front of the temple can be painful if you go wide. Straighten into a tricky little chicane then choose between an uphill tunnel or a shortcut right.
The shortcut is a generous left-hand sweep through pretty gardens, while the tunnel climbs sharply and is tighter.
If you're boosting, the tunnel exit is an almost blind jump, followed a trip through the crashed aeroplane. The shortcut is an easyish weave using the red temple entrance.
As the paths merge again, pass under this short rock tunnel and take your choice between jungle village (right) or track/beach (left).
As with the previous one, it's the shortcuts which offer the goodies. Here's the path through the jungle village, while the main track also offers a slightly longer (but more beneficial) route across the beach.
A good wide bridge, but surprisingly easy to clatter the sides.
Off the bridge, a slightly bumpy offroad section, a left/right combination which will finish with you having to line up for the fallen tree trunk.
The far end of the tree trunk is blocked by greenery, so trust the chevron!

Looks good, but I quote from the comments on my original MnR Rally-Croatia; 'It isn't very rally like. Rallies don't have shortcuts.'
Good job, though!

He said he didn't intend it to be part of the series, he just made a track and decided to call it jungle rally. In your track, you were quite officially including it as part of the rally series, even asking alex for permission. As for the track, I'll try it tonight!

Oops! Sorry didn't see that!

I thought this was a great track. Difficulty level was high but once you got the hang of it it was fluent to drive and very fun.
However, the abundance of chevrons made the track confusing at places. It's part of why it was so difficult at first. I would advice you to make the track more visible and take out a lot of chevrons. Use propwork and/or terrain coloring to make it clear where the track is going without chevrons (most of the time it was already).

Thanks for the feedback, K, much appreciated.
I was running very short on props, hence the generous use of chevrons - they also seemed a fair idea because I wanted the sun quite low, so they would be more visible than prop devices.
Perhaps it's a hard balance to strike, too. A track I uploaded a few months ago had some chevrons but not enough according to comments, and since then I've tried to be quite generous with them.
Nah, I know what the problem is. It's you. You're driving too fast ![]()

I didn't know there was a speed limit ![]()
