Hi everybody. I'd like to share with you guys my third track that I published. It's called Jungle Gauntlet.
Here's a few highlights in this track:
This is the part right after the start/finish line.
DIFFICULTY: 1 (between 1-5)
After the zigzag part, it goes into a part of the track with banking that makes it hard to stay at top speed (even with boost).
Same thing as the first tricky banking part. Forgot to tell you that there are also boost pads in the middle of the track.
This is the entrance to the "jungle" right after the banking part. I don't know if you can see this, but you can actually drive past the tiki head if you stick close to the right wall. There's a little space there, just in case if you get stuck.
After the tiki head, you will encounter three paths. The two on the sides have a boost pad and a item pod in the middle of the track, but its slower because you have to go around the trees. The middle path is generally the fastest, but if you don't have any boost (for whatever reason), it might be best to take the side paths.
When you get through the jungle, you'll have to drive over a BIG bump and turn/drift to the right. The only problems you might encounter is if you're driving really fast and jump over the banking and end up somewhere else.
This is right after the bumb with the banking part of the track. This is also the (as Gary would say it) "killer moment." (LITERALLY!) There are many obstacles, such as devastators, fire, barrel launchers, and beariers. You're probably a little intimidated by this, but don't worry! Here's some tips to help you:
-There are two shootable triggers on each side of the big devastator. Shoot these if you lagging behind to give some players ahead of you a little suprise! The triggers activate fire and one of the barrel launchers.
-There are three yellow triggers after the big devastator. The left and right triggers activate one devastator, one fire, and one barrel launcher. The middle one however, is the MASTER SWITCH. This trigger will activate EVERYTHING. It's also guarded with red explosive barrels, so watch out if you're on your first lap.
-There also item pods above the yellow triggers. You must DOUBLE JUMP to get the items pods (it wouldn't let me place them any closer to the ground).
This part comes after you went through the gauntlet and turned/drifted left (where the item pods and the free boost are). This doesn't look hard, but looks can be deceiving. There's a bit of a decline in the track before this part, which often times, makes you hit the wall. There is an arrow sign near the wall, so you shouldn't have much problem with this part afterwards.
This is after the tricky corner (the previous photo). There are two triggers, two boost pads, some item pods, and three fire traps. The middle fire trap activates and deactivates automatically, but the fire traps next to it can only be activated with the triggers. You might get an "off track" warning if you drive to far out, but it shouldn't be able to reset you.
This is the final obstacle you must pass to complete one lap. This is EXTREMELY HARD on your first playthrough, so just give it a chance. You must DRIFT hard to your right and skim the left wall while quickly going left and skimming the right wall. You should be able to do this in a single drift without losing speed when you get used to this part. There's also free boost and boost pads for your effort though!
Thanks to everybody who even bothered to take a look at my tracks! I know I'm not a good creator, but I promise to make easier tracks soon! LOL
