The Hot Lap Tracks for Saturday and Sunday are selected from the MNR Community in an attempt to spotlight some great user-created tracks that may have not been previously promoted or were somehow overlooked as a great user-created track.. New and older tracks are welcome to be nominated.
What tracks would you like to nominate?
1. Please give the complete track name AND creator name
2. Please nominate up to 5 tracks
3. Tell us why you like them and why they "standout from the crowd"
We have a running list so it may be a while for newer submissions to appear, so please be patient. ![]()
We will race all tracks that potentially make it into rotation to confirm it warrants being chosen.
Have fun!

1) Metal Harbor by AzureBladeXIII feels like the world's most crowded harbor master said, "Sure Biff, you can put can a race here... You want the track how high above the water? Are you sure?"
2) Artic Valley of Death by Phillymavs3 will satiate some people until the snow theme comes out and it blends props fromt he jungle theme rather well.
3) Alien Zone by RADBOYROB makes me think Salvador Dali did a science fiction painting.
4) The Big City Marina by Links24 isn't much of a marina, but it's driveable and uses props fairly logically.
5) Play Ball! by Ana1og_K1d is a short track, but it's meant more for nine innings laps. It's a race to see who can round the bases the quickest.

1) Stronghold Showdown by WilsonPhillips-X
A wholly wonderful track with two very distinctly different castles. Plenty of alternate routes as well as scenery to keep the action interesting.
2) MRC Recycling Center v2 by Meepcow
Still to date one of the most unique tracks I've seen. Who would have thought making a garbage dump would make for an interesting track?
3) Dragon Road 3D by marusarusa
A race on the back of a dragon. Flows at a good pace and has a well balanced variety in the track itself.
4) Hurricane Aftermath by Elijah_Caine
One of the first non-autopopulated tracks I ever raced on. It still sticks with me today and gets played if I'm host. A well balanced track that was one of the first creative uses of props I had seen when I got the game.
5) Oedo Canal by in01cu02bus
While nothing aesthetically is groundbreaking (though not to say the scenery lacks), this tracks is fast paced and balanced to the point that any race on it is amost always down the wire. Very, very rare in tracks today.

A few of my favourites have already been picked as Hot Laps so here are some less well known ones that I really like:
1) Viadunked Valley by BobinBham
Really nice looking track built around a viaduct, lovely use of scenery and subtle attention to detail - too many tracks recently seem to go for the massive wow or clever gimmick when I always appreciate the finer points of building tracks round a simple theme.
2) Picchu Peakin' [BWB] by Barberian912
Great use of the jungle theme and multiple routes always made for exciting races on this track.
3) Tomb Raider Lost Valley 2 by IIII-Dan-IIII
Another excellent use of the jungle theme, some great scenery around the valley construct, and its clever track design means you're surprised to have come full circle for the next lap.
4) Borealis Valley Ridge by IndustrialSavior
This creator has tons of crazy tracks, but again I think this track is a triumph of subtlety, track design and clever use of a theme to make a great track to race on that looks the part as well.
5) Rocky River Run by IvoYaridovich
Not to labour a point but artful design and a simple theme win again. This track makes its way across and along a dry river bed - it's straightforward and great fun.
One other mention, The Beachway by VintageOctopus was the first track to make me think how much more can be done with the track creation tools in this game, it had some balance issues for different routes and will be unsuitable for Hot Lap as auto-reset will be off, but it looks fantastic and conceptually is superb.

Just like Moshbag, many of my favourites have been picked as Hotlaps. But these are my 5 favourite:
1) Rozen Maiden 5 Doll by S-h-o-
A nice fun track to race, even with its few bumps. The reason it stands out. LOOK AT THE THUMBNAIL. There is your answer. Also nice getting a good view of it in race.
2) Warrior's Garden by John31269
I just like the flow of this track, Don't get many like this nowadays,
3) Rabbit hole by WilsonPhillips-X
You think its Mod Circuit, then you get mindblown at what it becomes. Most surprising Track I have ever raced.
4) Wizard of Oz by CIV_BOSS
Love the theme, and how he made the Tornado. Still my favourite CIV_BOSS track to date.
5) Timmy's Room by INeon_INoodle
It's a track within a young kids room, The most original Concept I've seen in this game.

I have a pen friend that does tracks that have the auto-reset off. This dude AFinn96 creates what he likes to call mod spots, in which you don't race the track, but explore the mini games that the creator put in the track.
I don't have many at the top of my head so I'll put down 2...
1. GunBlader's Paradise by AFinn96 this track is great, full of 5 mini games that you can do.
2. You are eaten by sharks I forgot who made this track, since I'm not on my computer or ps3, but basically, the track is a giant circle in which you have to dodge moving "fins" that move rapidly around the track. Once you get hit, you go flying, but the track is remix able, so you can add walls
The second track you mention sounds like one of P-Mabes "land shark" tracks. There are 3 or 4 of them
The first track sounds like one of Yikas tracks
Honestly I dont think either one has a place in hotlap, not really along the line of fastest lap tracks.
