We haven't heard anything from Mark yet. And only 2 days left to the qualification race. If 'looking into' (which takes anything from couple of days to couple of eons) has not been started yet, the whole event might be in danger.

I just want to go on record and say that I think having people qualify for the Finals should be in head-to-head races ONLY!  It seems stupid to have people automatically in the Finals because they are good at Time Trial.  Some are really good at Time Trial and not that good in Action Races.  And since the Grand Prix 2012 always involves racing other racers, not zipping around the track by yourself, I don't think anyone should get an easy ticket to the Finals.  The ones that have the advantage are the ones who do Time Trial a lot.  Myself, I find it too boring to race around a track by yourself, so I don't give it the time of day. 

The Time Trial qualifying could still be used well.  The Top 50 get in, and could decide the Seedings in the Groups.  Like in many professional sports playoffs, the fastest racers in the Time Trial could "earn" the right to race the qualifying heats against some of the racers who posted the slower times during Time Trial.

I know its not going to happen this time around, and maybe my opinion is in the minority, but I think it should at least be given some thought for the next Grand Prix.

I just want to go on record and say that I think having people qualify for the Finals should be in user created track races ONLY!  It seems stupid to have people automatically in the Finals because they are good at UFG tracks.  Some are really good at UFG tracks and not as good in user created track races. And since there are so many better tracks out there, why use the worse UFG tracks? The ones that have the advantage are the ones who do UFG tracks a lot.  Myself, I find it too boring to race around an average quality, uninteresting track so I don't give it the time of day. 

I know its not going to happen this time around, and maybe my opinion is in the minority, but I think it should at least be given some thought for the next Grand Prix.
