Re: Track Creation Challenge - How RAD Can You Be?

I've got one out, too. It's called THAT'S SO RAD.

Also, for anyone on the fence about the contest...This track was so much fun to make. Seriously. I was giggling to myself like half of the time. So I'd ssy go for it.

I don't know if it's specifically for this contest, but 'jefferzone' has a very cool track called "Subterra Homesick Alien", he even says it was inspired by the works of RADBOYROB and it's totally in Rob's style as well! :smileyhappy:

Hahahaha. nice idea for a challenge~

I created "MYSTERY OF THE 300 CLOWNS" as a tribute track XD

(Although I don't recommend using it in any track of the week or top tracks feature, as I think I turned off auto-reset)

I'd like to "enter" my newest track "Subterra Homesick Alien" into this noble challenge.  I hope that i've managed to capture some of the RADBOYROB spirit. It's inspired/influenced by Rob and not a remake of one of his tracks, but, with over 70 brilliant tracks, he's probably already done it!

SNEEK PREVIEW!!!

The track is no where near finished, and if you see it up in the next couple of days please don't download it as we are adding stuff and testing. But this should give you an idea of where we are heading! :smileyhappy:

Lol you know there's going to be trouble when you see a polar bear piloting a tank!  Don't know if anyone here has ever played "Crash Bash" for the PS1, but it reminds of that boss with the polar bear trying to blow you off the ice block with his submarine!

I don't think I'll be participating in this event.  To be honest, I don't recall ever racing on any of his tracks, so it's kind of hard to make a tribute to someone you don't even know.

@JNM-CIM - Yes I have, and I remember that! Crash Bash was pretty fun when I was growing up!

I'm trying to see if I can create anything RADBOYROB-esque, though...

Looks very cool man, but not particularly RADBOY-esque if I may say. Rob's tracks are usually very fast, flowing layouts with lots of interesting side routes, he never goes into great detail with the scenery like this, preferring instead to create weird and wonderful creations of his own warped mind my utilising the tilted props and placing these around the edges of his tracks as markers more than anything else. This looks like you're trying to create a whole little world of your own, which is GREAT, but if I were you I'd call this one something else and publish it as one of your own unique creations and go back to play some classic RADBOY tracks to get a better feel for what makes his tracks unique. :smileywink:

I see your point ath, there are some angled props and alt routes, but i will consider what you have said. Maybe when it's done in a couple of days you can see if you think it's radboyish enough! :smileyhappy:
