Hi all.
I'd just like to give my take on Monday's Hot Lap...
I went into Hot Lap about an hour after the new day started. I did several laps and set my usual competent (but hardly world-beating) lap time. I then quit to go and change driving settings. When I went back someone was at the top of the leaderboard with a time around 20secs compared to all the other times in the 50-60 range. I watched their ghost and I checked out their profile and I came to the conclusion that it was a newcomer who had glitched the track completely by accident (if it was on purpose why would they come to a stop for a few secs halfway back to the finish line?).
So then I figured that since the day's competition was already compromised there would be no harm in trying to see if I could also get the glitch to happen to me, which it did after a few laps. By then of course several other players had also achieved glitched times so then I tried to see if I could set an even faster time by getting the glitch to reoccur. Then one lap it did and the time should have been about 12secs across the finish line (which would still have finished top of the leaderboard) but to my amazement it said 0.033s. So then I saw my chance for a once-in-a-MNRtime 1st place in Hot Lap and quit in order to preserve that time.
Please understand that I didn't (and never have/will) set out right from the start to deliberately glitch the track, and only tried doing it after someone else had already messed it up. However I apologise to anyone who was upset with my non-winning on Monday.
Thanks.

As long as you didn't cheat right from the start that makes all right then. ![]()

I won't worry about it...
It takes a lot of courage to admit what you did and I really respect your accountability
I've seen Top Players ghosts blow themselves up before/ during jumps (Glitching) on hot lap somewhat regularly in the past. I personally thought the whole practice was weak but if you want to be known for Hot Lap... then you better learn how to cheese ![]()

As freshwick said, you are very brave to admit what happened and not just hide it. Glitches happen, and it's great that you got to experience winning hot lap, something I will never get to experience and very few people do. Seeing as some people win hot lap 50%of the time (at least), a change is nice.

You have my respect for openly admitting what you did. ![]()

i know some racers (especially 1) who spends his time to look for a glitch in Hot Lap, this time again, he found 1, but if he does, anyone can use it, it's not cheating coz anyone have the same chance.

Not really a big deal I guess. As it's been said already, there are several racers out there that have pretty solid game, and have no shame in glitching out the track to gain an edge. When in reality, they aren't gaining anything, they are just making a bad name for themselves and ruining that days Hot Lap. You can at least admit you did wrong, and you have my respect, certainly much more respect than some fast racers that have glitched out Hot Lap in the past and won't be apologizing any time soon.
Pretty sure I know who you're talking about Assyrion lol. I wonder if that is the person that always seems to find the little exploits on the tracks too and then everyone ends up taking a shortcut that shouldn't be.

Wow 99% !!!
Get a load of this guy... and I was accused of having an ego lmao
I have no reason to lie, I've been honest on these forums from day one. What are you trying to prove, who do you want to impress ? I just don't understand why you demand an apology/ admit wrong doing. When you're just as guilty.

Freshwick, that is not cool.
Maverick is a very respected Racer in the Community. 99% is just a number thrown out there to make a point. But I'm sure it is at least 90%, if not 95, if you wanted to be technical.
My son and I have watched his ghost over and over on certain tracks to try and improve, and it has helped. I dont ever see him trying to glitch a track. Besides, why would he need to? The people that glitch the tracks are not the top racers.
Peace on these forums is always better than slinging mud around.
