it's because ad hoc is wireless not network. Road trip doesn't seem to have infrustructure mode

the only thing you could do is use adhoc party on the ps3,& start inviting people to play on the forums,thats if you got a ps3,personally i think it was a huge mistake to not include infrustructure on that game
