UFG take note, people are abandoning MNR in their thousands. You had the potential for the next LBP, but through your sheer ignorance and naivety you have thrown it all away. You failed to keep players appeased and interested despite the promise of "New and Exciting Content" which in reality resulted in little more than a new kart and mod every couple of weeks in a game where you can make an unlimited number of unique and original (or not so original) creations. For months now the community has been crying out for new Track DLC to keep things fresh and interesting. We KNOW there is an Asian theme somewhere, couldn't you have given us this at least? But no, "Coming Soon" is the standard spiel you use to answer pretty much any question related to anything new for MNR. It's even more disappointing when you consider that the community of MNR, since launch, has created 300,000 custom tracks. How many have you created? ZERO.
Furthermore you have totally failed in promoting the "Create + Share aspects of the game. For the first 2 MONTHS of the games release you had the same mods/tracks/karts on the leaderboards. They weren't even very good. Yet even today, we still see the ghost of the old days when TikiTik Mountain rears its ugly head YET AGAIN on the top tracks section. You now have an ongoing issue related to constant disconnects when searching which further alienates players and disuades them from checking out new content. Again, any response from yourselves about this simply states a fix is "COMING SOON". Your 'blog' and the resulting video's are blatant, poorly put together puff pieces which offer absolutely no incentive for players without the game to invest. Also you don't respond to any criticisms or suggestions people put down here, which comes across very much as an "as if we care" kind of gesture.
Finally there is the lack of participation even through this official website (which was heaving when the game was first released). This shows that the majority of players simply don't care anymore. Most have most likely moved on to other games and left MNR gathering dust on the shelf, a few may check in now and again to see what's going on and a small segment (such as myself) actively promote new material and attempt to keep the community alive.
But without your help, it's pointless.
Fall 2010 is almost upon us and the amount of new games released in the next month or so is staggering. I know what you're thinking though; This would be the perfect time to strategically release new track DLC to combat this mass exodus to new wares. But, in order to generate significant income from a product or service there has to be a demand from a large enough userbase and, as stated above, the numbers of MNR are declining daily. A few new tracks and props for a game many abandoned months ago is not going to be a sigificant enough incentive for many to return to the game, far less to part with another 6-10 pounds of their hard earned money.
So you see, much as it pains me to say it, I can never see this game recovering. It's suffered a crash, a HUGE crash in the last couple months, borne of poor services and a lack of new content. UFG, you shot yourselves in the foot, and now, because you failed to address the wound in time, you're going to be losing it for good.

Thanks for the invite, but I LOVE MNR and have made a load of awesome new friends that I race with regularly.
The problem is, the vast majority just don't seem to be interested in the game anymore and I can see it ending up as a just having a small, closed community of regular players rather than a huge hub of creativity and ingenuity that the game really deserves and if this happens then an awful lot of the time spent creating will be in vain, as only a small handful of players will actually benefit.

I've seen a sharp decline in the number of downloads my tracks have received, so yes, the game definitely IS dying.
And EVERYTHING you wrote is correct, I'm even going to be leaving, F1 2010 is definitely distracting me, BIG TIME. I even played DiRT2 for around a month and NOTHING had changed, what a huge let down ![]()

I agree. You should bring out a pack with more tracks and stuff. Loads more stickers, objects etc

Me too I totally agree with this I was looking forward to this game getting more dlc making a change in user generated content and this game has been the same old thing for the past few months I used to play MNR everyday almost and that was only because i wanted to get to rank 30 but when i reached rank 28 i couldn't be bothered that isn't the game's fault but it is a stupid amount of xp compared to all the other letters, the career is too easy even on the "expert" skill and you can accomplish most of the challenges easily within a week or two depending on how much time you have. If the weekly event vwrmic hosts was not here i wouldn't be playing it anymore by the time Christmas is over and done with i doubt ill be playing mnr anymore unless the weekly event is still going.
So yes in my opinion is dying a very slow death losing more and more players every day by the sounds of it and now i only look at the forums every now and then.

Atheist has said it all. There are only a hand full of players who play regularly. At first this game was absolutely amazing, but the lack of support from the devs is seriously disturbing. In a game where the ENTIRE POINT is crating and sharing THEN RACING. You would think they would have had many track dlc's ready at release. We all pretty much agree the free track parts coming up are going to be disappointing. If it was a new theme they would have said NEW THEME DLC, but NO they said "track parts" Its too bad for us who love making tracks that we will all be moving on from this awesome yet short lived game. Too bad for UFG as well, I would have paid for track dlc. I would have paid for LOTS of track dlc, I bet others would have too. So it a loose loose situation. Maybe they will learn their lesson and make MNR2 a real SUPPORTED game.

It is getting very ridiculous.
The most recent content was the ***** guzzling Flo from those annoying commercials -_-
But seriously I can see this dying very quick.
LBP took a while for level stuff to come out but they had lots to begin with.
UFG bleeds a little bit more every time they post anything other then a theme or track parts.
And the community has gotten sad as well... I hope this game doesn't die out, I love it. But by the looks of it I highly doubt they are gonna bring such an amazing DLC to bring this back on its feet.

Its all to true. My favorite part of the game was creating the tracks. With nothing new to work with, I lost creativity. I'm sure there's uniqueness to be had still, but with only 4 themes and thousands of creators. It's hard.
I have alomost stopped playing. I come by and check every so often, I think that the school/work returning has had something to do with my not coming back. But with the new fall games coming out (not to mention WoW xpac) I'm gonna be fiddling with other stuff.
Cheers to those I've played with and liked my tracks.
