Hi

First of im loving this game with all its features : )

But have a question for the community or mods about the remixing option.

I created a track and published it with the remixing option set to no, after i had done this it immediately said that the track was pending publishing, i thought nothing of that at the time as i know servers sometimes have a backlog in data and went and played it in time trial.

After i came back out of time trial i went back to check if it had been published and still no joy but have noticed that the track has been downloaded 6 times and the name of the original creator has changed to someone elses instead of mine but still shows up in my shared creations.

So does anyone know if this is a glitch that someone has done and if so is there a way i can remove it from my published tracks as it wont let me...

any help would be appreciated

ok here is an update on this...

now the info for my created track still says the different creator name but now the time it was created is 30 nov 2010 and i created it about 2 hrs ago

so can a moderator or anyone let me know if this is just a server error and is conflicting with the data from someone elses track and will it rectify itself eventually ?

i'm having a similar problem with my latest kart:. i uploaded it yesterday and it was displaying the same 'pending upload' message. after an hour i checked back and it still wasn't published. as i couldn't unpublish it, i submitted a V2 but again it was still pending upload. it is now the next day and still nothing, is it because of the far east dlc or because i used the word 'virgin' in the title?

also, i forgot to mention that V1 managed to get a download somehow. how did this happen when it is still pending publishing?

I've had the same problem before and found a way around it.

Save your creation again but as a different name. Delete the original creation (delete not unpublish)

Go to the duplicate that now has a different name and save it again but as the original name.

Publish this new one that has undergone several name changes.

And your problem should be solved.

I found that it seemed to just be a random problem that only happened to me on 3 creations but all at the same time. If my instructions make sense then when you follow them it should work.

The reason you have to do the name changes though is because you can't unpublish the creation because it's pending yet you can't republish it because it knows it's been published already, so by switching names back and forth it thinks it's a new and different creation and hopefully should upload without such problem.

Let me know if this works or if my instructions are too confusing

ok it sounds like that should work im gonna try it later

but will it work if i foolishly decided to delete my original track lol

can i just make another and call it that and hope it fixes it ?

ok i tried this fix anyway seeing as i had already deleted the original creation track

and it didnt work for me it just put the new track with the same name in a different slot, so im stuck with a save slot that is now taken up by a server glitch lol

hopefully this may be fixed in an update or might just rectify itself hopefully

Ah that's a shame it didn't work. I know that when I came across this any creation I tried to publish for a few hours just stayed in pending state. Have you tried uploading a completely different creation altogether? Because if that uploads the name change thing should work.

Yeah ive tried publishing different creations and they all get published ok

as i had deleted my original track of the the one that is still pending i made a new track and called it the same name in the hopes it would replace the pending one but no joy.

one of my friends had the same problem as me the same night and when she tried the solution you posted it didnt work for her either.

I'm kinda hoping at the mo that there is a feature that automatically removes the pending creation if it goes unpublished after a certain time limit

if there isnt anything like that maybe the modnation dev team could implement that feature in their next update to safeguard against this kind of thing happening to people.

if this does rectify itself or if i find a solution to it ill post it here
