apparently my creation 'colonel gadaffi' has been disapproved by a Moderator! i got this message from sysadmin along with the advice "please re-publish an acceptable version"!
the trouble is i don't know what was wrong with the original (apart from it being potentially a sensitive issue at the mo' and maybe a slightly disparaging comment accompanying it!)
anyway, the final nail in the coffin is that i am now locked out of this creation even if i wanted to re-publish it!!!
any advice modnation?

What do you mean exactly? You are unable to edit it?
The creation is saved to your hard drive, once published it is saved to an online server as well as your hard drive. Unless you deleted it from your system the 'original' should still be availible regardless of the state the server side copy.

thanks alot for replying. the answer is that yes i was unable to edit it.
however this is now irrelevant as when i donned the mod and left the creation station headed for the mod spot, as soon as i re-appeared the mod completely disappared! it is no longer on my hard drive, it is like the mod never even existed. (you could say it has gone into hiding but that would be in bad taste!)
of course, if the moderators disapprove i accept their judgement ,but if i was to make the mod again how would i know what was an" acceptable version" without a clearer reason from sysadmin?
no big drama, but this confusion is what lay at the heart of my post and any thoughts on how to clear it up would be much appreciated.

Its essentially luck of the draw as to what gets flagged by the community. If its likely to offend it gets deleted once reported. Theres been a few cases on here about similar issues, off the top of my head a jesus mod was deleted that had been features on the MNR blog the previous week, as well as a character from Bill and Ben called Weed, no reference to the drug, literally an unwanted plant.
On the other side of the coin however, I've seen people driving round with profanity stickered across their carts. But if you don't publish the creation it cant be reported.
Also, several words are deemed unacceptable by the swear filter, 'punk' for instance is not allowed.
Theres no real hard fast ruling on what is deemed acceptable, the warning messages sent out are very generic and offer no help to the publisher whatsoever, I appreciate this must be frustrating but you're not alone on the issue.

thanks loco311 you've been real helpful. guess i was just unlucky cause i've seen plenty more loony dictators in mod form.
either that or the C.I.A were finding it too confusing with one in libya and the other on mnr!
i'm gonna try re-publishing it but i might lose the comment "big bowl 'a' crazy"!

This is quite funny as only the other day my girlfriend suggested I searched for a Gadaffi mod and only ONE came up... guess the C.I.A have got bored and turned their attention to videogames to make themselves look busy, lol!
