Can't allocate my model assets

Hi there,

 

This is my first post here actually, though unfortunately so with an issue to report,

though the title says it all, basicly my model assets aren't located properly,

I tried copying over all the assets from the "BasicModelSample", and yes, I have added the

assets by using the 'Add' function inside of MonoDevelop.

 

I allocate my models simply with the code:

"BasicModel a = new BasicModel("/Application/model_name.mdx", 0);"

The error I'm getting is the following: "Could not find file "c:\Application\model_name.mdx"."

Using this format to locate assets such as textures works flawlessly, but it doesn't seem to like models very much.

 

Since I couldn't find any information regarding my issue elsewhere on these forums, I figured I'd ask it myself directly, thanks in advance for the help, and Sony....please add Visual Studio support for the PSS SDK!

EDIT: I figured I should mention, I also tried entering the absolute path (" C:/Users/Documents/Project/ProjectName/model.mdx" , but it gives me the error: "Could not find a part of the path (C:/Users/Documents/Project/ProjectName/model.mdx )"

Hi,

 

right click on your asset file and make sure it's included in the Project and "Content" is flagged under Generation Actions

 

then rebuild all !

 

my IDE is in italian, I hope to have translated it correctly :smileyhappy:

PS.

To those who might run into this problem as well, the exact English way to do it is:

right click your assets -> build action -> content.

For some reason it automaticly categorizes PNG files as content, but not models.
