Re: Incredibly slow FPS with imported 3D assets

Hi,

I also tried exporting it to DAE with Milkshape, and it converts fine now, but I get an IndexOutOfRangeException when trying to load it.

I guess that your model has no any material for the mesh, right?

For .fbx, I have gotten same result.

I've testet some .fbx but I don't know a case of success.

Re: Incredibly slow FPS with imported 3D assets

I export FBX from maya, you need to make a 2009 version one and it works just fine. Don't use the Autodesk Converter 2013, it messes them up.

FBX > 2009 will loose motions and or materials. But still, if you mess the material it should at least render somehow.

Thats why I asked for the converter output, it shows if something is too huge or if something wents missing :smileywink:

Re: Incredibly slow FPS with imported 3D assets

I did try with Maya 2009 and FBX. My model has 1000 poly and 28 bones (yours was 300). I got 60fps using the BasicModelSample (and System.Diagnostic.StopWatch) on the PSS Simulator. On the PS Vita, I got 26 fps (37ms). My mdx model file is 212kB though, much bigger than your 400B one. I got some display problem that looks like depth-related only on PS Vita.
Just wondering how many bones your model has? And is there only one mesh?
