If you're interested in seeing Monster Hunter return to Playstation, head over to Capcom-Unity and fill out their Monster Hunter survey... I suggest everyone who wants to see MH spread in the West post this questionnaire where you know MH fans congregate.

Because it is not on a handheld, but is more advanced than the first Monster Hunter, and has right-stick camera control as well as inbuilt online facilities.

13. What do you think is the best way to introduce a new player to the fun of Monster Hunter?
Show them the ropes via multiplayer once they have the game. Explain how deep and engrossing it is before they have it.

14. Do you think it's possible to "get" MH (or get excited about it) in your first 10-15 minutes? Why or why not?
No. It's a very slow game. It's essentially a game of 2 halves. The first half is gathering and learning the lie of the maps and village. The second half is the meat of the game with hunting and making equipment.

15. What Japanese Monster Hunter titles that have not been localized for the west are you most interested in?
Monster Hunter Frontier (PC and Xbox 360)
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (PSP)

16. What cross-over would you like to see in Monster Hunter? (eg, Mega Man)
None.

One can only hope. The very existence of this survey must mean that they have something in the pipeline even if it's just the plan to release another console game in the west.

To my mind, it means at least someone at Capcom is putting together a business case for it

But it's a long way from business case to market product...

Hopefully they'll get enough feed back and bring it out over here. I'm sure if there's a survey like this for the yanks, then a new game will come about. It's bigger over there than it is over, from what I can gather anyway, and if they get one we should too.

Until they bring MH to the ps3 I will not give them a cent,even resident evil because of such betrayal of ps owners by capcom

I so hope the bring Monster Hunter back to the PlayStation in the UK. I SO want Monster Hunter Portable 3 (I think it might be comiong on the Vita), but would love the PS3 version as well that is coming out in Japan.

1st MH was Monster Hunter Freedom on PSP

Now have MH PS2, MHF2, and MHFU Love them all, cannot choose a fav.

I will get MH for the Wii soon
