The first and last time i used a lance was in the Ku.t ku training mission and i got MURDERD. cant use a lance so i wont use a lance.
Although i have seen videos on youtube of people uaing a Gunlance in MH2. This looked soo cool and i so want one. Plz tell me its posible to get it in Freedom, Plz
Also i killed White Monopolis, Gargua and Diablos. This thread has soo helped me. Thanks guys especilay Splidders, Sayling and especialy Sparda2003
The lance takes a bit of practice to use, but can be an awesome addition to anyone's armoury. Back in MH, you were able to headlock either Rath (where you hit them in the head and they are momentarily stunned, shaking their head in confusion, and then repeat until they are dead) and kill them in 10 minutes or so. In the right hands, it could slice the tail off any wyvern, and the ku was mincemeat in minutes. And, yes, the gunlance is in MHF and is superb at giving the khezu a mighty headache

ok im really really really really really stuck on the village elders quest where u have to kill the gold/silver rathalos and rathian. im getting murdered. the rathalos just kills me with the flying tail strike that stunns me and posions me then the rathian charges me and kills me. i have my eager cleaver and rathalos armour. need help desperately.
Oh and im stuck on the guild missions. the urgent mission where you have to kill 2 diablos. ive tried with a gun i can kill 1 diablos but i either run out of ammo or time need advice on that as well.
i heard that diablos is weak against water so im trying to make a good water element weapon ive got a water based lance but i cant remember the name of it and im not very good with lances. gonna make a finblade.
i have read somewhere that it is alot easyer once 1 is dead. and that person also told me to pitfall trap one of them by the furthest side of the arena and putting him to sleep, beating up on the other one and then going back to the one in the trap. i know i told u this before but thats wt i heard.
4 horns is also gay, i just got xlink kai up and running (today) and begged someone to halp me with 4 horns, i had 2 volentiers, all of whicn had don the mission before, we killed the first diablos and i died 1ce in 2 hits and i had a gun.
Second one was in area 7 and i forgot my Cool drinks so i said ill be carefull, they got the diablos in rage really quickly and even with a 3/4 full health bar he killed me with his running attack. what a bastard.:eek:

ive tried the whole trap thing. doesnt seem to work for long even if i put one 2 sleep or stun it in the trap
I think i need better armour than my rathalos armour. thinking of getting *** ku k+ i think it is got a defence of 22 so i might make that. also i need a new weapon any suugestions??? ive just made obelion i think thats wot its called. 810 attack with 180 dragon element i think..

With the gold and silver raths I've heard that they're not weak to dragon like you'd expect but are very weak to thunder. So eager cleaver or similar weapons would be the way to go. I've yet to attempt this mission yet even though it's been in my list for ages now. I've decided to concentrate on the guild quests til i get better armour and weps. After all a good defence is a good offence

ive tried it with the eager cleaver but i still die pretty fast think i need sum better armour. but to get better armour i need to get past the 4 horns guild quest which i cant do either

That sucks that you got fired from work. But still look on the bright side at least now you've got lots of time to play Monster Hunter
I haven't got to that urgent quest yet just got back from Italy so haven't really played that much in the past week or so. Still got a fair amount of the guild quests to do. Only done the 1* and half the 2* ones and the odd couple 3* and 4* quests. The tactics I used for the village 4 horns were to stand on the ledge in area 10 and batter it with my eager cleaver/obelion (cant remember which i was using at the time) and not leave the ledge due to the reach of a GS you should be able to get a combo going without falling off. That should take care of the horns plus even without its horns you can still use this tactic on it, it just gets more dangerous and less time since it aint stuck. Just try not to stand right on the edge.
With the second one you should use sonic bombs when it aint in rage mode obviously and generous use of the roll button and the dive out the way move.
These are the tactics i'm gonna use for my urgent when I get to it. Hopefully it shouldn't take much longer than it took me to do the village one. Oh and eat with your cats first to get the health and attack bonus with a meat like dragon tail and similarly named things and mixing it with blessed wine. It gives you that extra needed edge of not having to heal straight away when they hit you plus the atk bonus helps too.

iv don 4 horns quest with people on xlink kai, its not that hard any more. i almost dit it on the elder quest but with 8 mins to go the stupid diablos went to hide some where while i could have finished him of with a few normal level2 shots. couldn't find him anywhere. bastard. i didnt even die at all.
if u want to complet ur guild quests then u should get xlink kai cos there are soo many 5 hr people on there who are happy to help out. i did lao shang on that and that was amasing battle.

As for you doing the guild quests.. if you want the 4 horns urgent quest to appear you only have to do these 4star missions :

Catch a Gypceros.
then the urgent quest appears.
anorwichfan thanx for the advise of using xlink but i cant get my psp online so xlink would be useless. trying to get a mate of mine to get a psp so i can get a lil help.
