Also what weapon do MHF owners use?
I started with the hunters Knife and upgraded it to a bonespike, then i built an assasins dagger and upgraded it to a Poison battle axe (amasing weppon) and i also built a pare of bone Sithes and Dual Tomahawks (I dont like them cos there 2 blunt), lasty of all i built a Maelstrom . Im thinking about a Wryevern Blade cos i got the stuff i need and its got Blue sarpness.

Thanks for the info. Where do u find out things like this though? I guess this is how you get weppons like the rusted sword.

Also i just managed to kill the Yean Garagua with my Mealstroom last night . ive got enough matereals to build a Wryevern sword, do u think i should or try go 4 other stuff?
I first played Monster Hunter on the PS2 as part of the beta trial programme, then waited faaaaaaaaaarrrrr too long for the public release

I played it to death!

Now I've got it on the PSP and have racked up nearly 250 hours so far.

There is a wealth of information on gamefaqs and capcom's own forums, basically from players sharing experiences and information with each other.

Having said that, and 'bragged' about the amount of time I've put in so far - I've not come across that sword before...

I made an Eager Cleaver as one of my first great swords, mainly because it is a superb weapon with loads of thunder and decent sharpness - and it kicks the butt of so many wyvern! Upgrading it all the way gives you such a sweet sword that makes mincemeat of Cephalos, Cephadrome and Plesioth - so much so that it almost seems criminal. It's also a good weapon for the Lao Shan village quest if you have yet to get a good dragon-elemented weapon.

You can only get it when u sucsessfully killed the Yean Garuga and may be u have to cut the tail off as well (i did) because it uses purely Garuga stuff and 35000z to make.You can upgraid it 2 a 'Wolf Blade'.

It has:
A level 7 Rarety
252 attack
White sharpness

The only problem is that one of the materials needed to make it is a 'long Garuga Ear' and thats a G rank only. To get it u have to kill Garuga 7 times (omfg):eek: Then do one of the Fatalis Missions just for that mission to apear in the quest list. It seams like im stuck on that Weppon for a long time.

Ive tried making this sword but i got bored of doing 4 quests just so i could kill yian garuga. i got bored and deceided to make my eager cleaver. not sure wot weapon to make now ive got monster bone+.... thinking of makeing a halbeard (or woteva its called) and upgrading it.

What you really need are a variety of weapons - something with dragon element is extremely useful against most wyverns, but fire against khezu is a must, thunder against plesioth and ceph and water for gravs, bas and blos.

I do like duals for appearance, but you need so many whetstones and there's no blocking ability. Thus, although a bit of a noob weapon, I still use the great swords - finblade upgraded all the way for water, eager cleaver for thunder, rathalos firesword and fire dragonsword

But I also love a good lance - venom lance 'cos it's fun watching a grav blow purple bubbles, grayburg for the sharpness and defence and I'll probably get a paralysing one at some point to go with my cat hammer

I have 2 sets of Duals and i hate them. there not sharp enough and always bounce on almost every wyrvern. that sux. they are Dual Tommahawks and bone Sythes. It it a Good idea to upgrade my Bone Sythes to Gradios?

i agree with the duals im not a big fan of them i made sum when i first started the game and just got bored of using them. i went through nearly the whole game using my posion battleaxe and golem blade. now i have my eager cleaver and im using lances

The first and last time i used a lance was in the Ku.t ku training mission and i got MURDERD. cant use a lance so i wont use a lance.

Although i have seen videos on youtube of people uaing a Gunlance in MH2. This looked soo cool and i so want one. Plz tell me its posible to get it in Freedom, Plz

Also i killed White Monopolis, Gargua and Diablos. This thread has soo helped me. Thanks guys especilay Splidders, Sayling and especialy Sparda2003

Ive got kinda adictid to this game. its awsome but is is also kinda hard. At the moment i have done quite well. im on the 4* quests but i am stuck on the Gravios Quest in the urgent bracket but if u need help to feel free to post here aswell.

Grav is weak to poison. so thats a good way to start..
I would use a sharp weapon and try and get its stomach plate of. then you do more damage when you attack it in the wound.
Alternatively, you could use a gun. Make sure you take Clust lvl 2 or Crag lvl 2

Sorry but u were a bit slow, i killed Gravos ago, but thanks for the coment though. Also any one who is stuck on any mission plz just ask and i am happy to help.
