On the US Capcom Unity website there is a downloadable freebie for MHFU - don't expect an exhaustive strategy guide, more a basic (but beautifully illustrated) visual starter guide/introduction.

On a similar note, if you are a few games behind, Brady Games still have their original MHF guide online. I found the item list for that to be quite useful when combining stuff.
