sometimes i have global rank ,sometimes it shows unranked ,i don't understand ,the same apply to some events(ranked/unranked) any explanation about this? it's so difficult for leaderboards to work? same issue i had in MSA come on EVO not again

EDIT i got it if you leave the game in menu for about 30 sec it updates your rank or you can go in the card-event with the unranked mark and wait a few seconds and will update your rank

I think this delay in time is because of the way PSN works.

Every game ive played on ps3 it takes at least 5-10mins for scores/times to update....Sometimes hours.

One game i have come across that does it instantly is MERCURY HG - But its actually fake.

It shows on your ps3 instantly - But not on PSN,it still atkes a long while to update (confirmed by resetting the ps3 & booting up the game again ....Your time vanishes).

Not sure why there is a delay on PSN - On xboxlive,your times & scores are posted instantly....Even on the free silver accounts.

Does anyone know the reason why its not done instantly on PSN?

Most games it is posted instantly onto the leaderboards. You must just buy terrible games.

And I can't be the only person fed up of people talking about 360's here on the PLAYSTATION forum.

I have over 160 ps3 games & ive owned a ps3 since launch ....Ive never seen it done instantly.Whether they are terrible or not is open to debate.As a keen speed runner on the ps3 (and in the past ...yes,360) ive yet to come across this ...If any games DO update instantly,ive never come across them in 5 years of  ps3 gaming. .....Ive seen it faked many times ...ie,it update on your own ps3,but not the PSN servers - Which can be tested by quiting the game & rebooting it.

And i only mentioned the 360 - Because its the only console ive seen do this.If any other machine did it,i would have mentioned that as well.

I only asked a reasonable question - If this caused offense,i can only apologise.

Motorstorm Apocalypse would update virtually instantly. I have set a time & in the time it takes to quit the race, & message a friend with "Beat you" the time is updated for me & him. CoD games do the same. After you finish a game you can check the leaderboards instantly and the previous games stats are already updated for everyone. To be honest MSRC is the first game that I have experienced to have taken a while to update.

I may be being dim but is there any way to see more of the leaderboard other than the first page and the page that you're on?

Nope. Not sure why it doesn't let you scroll up/down... You can only see friends, top 15 or so & the people on the same page as you.

Not a big fan of the overall Monument Valley/Pacific Rift/Arctic Edge/Apocalypse overall leaderboards, purely for the reason that I can't actually perceive drifting any faster and those events are the big ones where the top players are getting at least 6 seconds faster than me (which is still quite a lot for an overall leaderboard of a section). I just can't face the drifting on here for the very highest spots (ie that can be viewed 1-15) : although I've got the medals I think it would be easier booking a track day and pretending to be dk. Still, I currently have two big Number 2 times on the leaderboards, which is essentially as close as it gets to two Number 1 times so I shouldn't really rant.
