Team sizes
We will open just one private room per match. That means that each community’s team should consist of no more than 8 players including one moderator/MVP. In addition, 4 'emergency' players will be allowed for each team in case some players from the 'official' team fall ill/don't have time to participate in a particular match, etc.
A minimum of 6 players is highly recommended but if a community can not present at least 6 players, the race won't be cancelled and will occured with the number of players present.
The moderator or MVP can also score points for their own team.
Match’structure’
Each match consists of 5 races.
Every Monday during the competition the specific details of each week’s races type, number of laps and options will be provided on each forums.
Points
For all of the below stages of the tournament, points will be awarded to the best 3 players in each race (note: each match consists of 5 races), structured as detailed below.
In each single race, the top 3 players will be awarded scores. At the end of the match, the moderators/MVPs will add up all the scores the players from their community have gained during the 5 races.
Scores
1. (position) 5 points
2. (position) 3 points
3. (position) 1 points
By the end, of the last week, the Community with more points will be the winner.
What happen if a Team doesn't show up for a Match?
In case a team does not show up , 45 points will be given to the team that was present and 0 point will be given to the team that was not present.
Each community involved in the competition should be able to present at least 6 persons every wednesday.
Additional rules
- No matter how many players are disconnected during a race, the race won't be interrupted and will be completed. The race won't be re-played.These players will be invited again for the next race.
- Players have to respect the schedule. The moderator/mvp in charge won't wait more than 15min before launching the 1st race even the team is complete or not. After 15min, if the team doesn't show up, it will be considered forfeited.
The tournament
Each team will race against every other team (9 matches/communities to race against for each team). We have allocated a time slot of 9 weeks for this, which means your team will play 1 match per week.
