I’m delighted to be able to announce – and show a trailer for – MotorStorm RC, Evolution Studios‘ upcoming radio controlled off-road racing game for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Network. It was also announced literally moments ago, on stage at a PS Vita event in London – so it’s hot off the press!
I’m Paul Rustchynsky, and I’ve been Game Director to a small, elite team at Evolution Studios for most of the year, creating a simulation of high-speed radio-controlled car racing for PSN download. We’re extremely pleased with how the game is coming together; it’s a perfect combination of classic racing with really modern connectivity features and it’s already bigger than your average download game, with visually stunning renditions of all four MotorStorm worlds (and 8 of their vehicle classes). Every aspect of the game comes loaded with endless competition that you can share with friends and rivals worldwide – whether that’s on PS3 or PS Vita, or both – and we’re still packing it full of challenges, race types and features too!
Everyone who has played MotorStorm RC so far says it really gets you hooked, with an addictive, hypnotic core experience – just like the best arcade games. Also like the best arcade games, stages take just moments to load, giving it that ‘just one more go’ quality, especially when you can play at home on PS3 and then continue your progress on the go with PS Vita.
And it’s still early days! We’ve got a lot more lined up and we’ll share all of it with you as the game comes together, but for now please check out our trailer and some of the killer features in MotorStorm RC!
THIS IS OFF-ROAD RACING ON A WHOLE NEW SCALE
Conquer the most extreme racing environments in powerful radio-controlled vehicles, with hundreds of uniquely customised models to collect and performance based on 8 distinct racing categories: Buggies, Superminis, Rally Cars, Muscle Cars, Racing Trucks, Supercars, Big Rigs and Monster Trucks!
4 CLASSIC LOCATIONS, 16 UNIQUE TRACKS
Experience the simultaneous challenge and excitement of racing in the world’s most extreme environments, from the dusty desert mesa’s of Monument Valley, to the dangerous jungles of a Pacific island, to the icy tundra at the Arctic Edge, to the apocalyptic ruins of an urban city.
SETTLE RIVALRIES ANYTIME, ANYPLACE
Challenge friends and the rest of the world to compete for the fastest times in every event – whether that’s on PS3 or PS Vita, or both.
SHARE EVERY MOMENT
Share every moment with your friends and make new friends via the Pitwall. Keep tabs on their activity – so you always know when there’s a new challenge or a new leader – and you can always stay one step ahead of the competition.
4 PLAYER MULTIPLAYER ON PS3
Settle the score with your friends in person with 4 player split-screen races.
PAY ONCE, GET BOTH
It’s the same experience on both PS3 and PS Vita, and picking up the game on PS3 will give you full access to the game on PS Vita (and vice versa) – so if you own both you can carry your progress between the two, and always pick up where you left off.

I Figured this would happen ever since i saw Mash and Tyler drive radio-controlled cars in the cut scenes.
-I must say, I'm glad it's a mini game, and I'm also glad there bringing back the track themes and classes too. I Doubt it will top Re-volt, by far, in my opinion one of the best racing games that has ever existed, I still play it in short bursts despite it being fairly old.
-Moving on, I'm looking forward to it, I've already put a (certain) amount of money to the side.
I Do look forward to it, but i still demand more DLC of apocalpse..... lol.
I'm so glad the Supermini's are back, and the Bikes and ATVs have been... discarded for now.

I think ex's comments have merit. The server issues with MSA is horrible and they should be focusing on getting that fixed. They should also be releasing new tracks soon. A lot of people hardly play this anymore because it takes to long just to get in one game. And when you actually are able to play a game, you get disconnected.
I cannot believe they have spent all there time creating a new game when the latest one still has issues. Where is the loyalty to the stormers who make EVO what it is.
If this new game has the same issues, I may not purchase it.

I wonder why they couldn't have released these tracks for MSA? We really need new tracks..

It really gets me when people think a developer cannot work on two projects at once, i.e a download/Vita game and a main franchise
Besides its nice when a developer strays from the usual starting-to-wear-thin franchinse to make something slightly different ![]()
Anyway, I'm really excited about this game and hopefully Motorstorm can finally shine as I've been far from impressed by the series and the potential it has.

I don't think they cannot work on different things at the same time, it's just that there is never any feedback on whether they are working on the server issue. They have all these sites available, but yet no info.
This game looks like it will be fun, however; if it is going to experience the same issues as MSA, people will be disappointed and not want to play it. Look at how many people now that have lost interest in playing MSA because every time they try and get on, they get kicked off or it takes up to 15 mins just to get into one game. Then they get kicked off after one game.
It's hard to do events when your spending a lot of time just trying to get people into the lobby.
Working for a major company, I know how software is and how time consuming it can become. But, if you did not work with your customers to solve the issues, your customers will eventually not use you anymore and find someone else who can get the job done effeciently.
The motorstorm series are great! And I love playing them but, they will eventually turn off there customers because of the server issues and there customers will find it hard to recommend the game to their friends..
It is frustrating!! And I wish that EVO will at least give some type of update on what they are doing to solve this issue.
