So I purchased MSA on the PSN store today. Started campaign mode and there's no cutscenes.. they don't play.

Looking at the reviews and playthroughs on youtube, I was lead to believe a storyline with cutscenes/characters comes with this game.

Have I been duped?

To be honest I would say this gives you are advantage. You don't have to sit through minutes of cutscenes that being honest, are terrible.

The cutscenes are better than many other games where stories are involved ill say that for sure

And to the OP, i wish i knew the answer to that question, but i have a disc-based copy and the story stuff is there, so it should technically be on the PSN downloa as well, that is a strange occurance.

EDIT: Have you completed any of the festival races and recieved the message that you have unlocked any cutscenes (when you get first in races, or at least podium position) if so, they might be hidden around in the "My Motorstorm" > "Motion Comics" area, where you can watch them anytime when you get the position required in the race

Nope, there seems to be no cutscenes on the PSN version.

However as pointed out, you do have a much better game because of it

Theyre okay to watch once, but believe me, the story certaintly isnt pivotal.

maybe it was because of that "oh no there goes tokyo" scene

which was cut out after an update to the game. 
maybe the Devs didn't feel it was nesacerry

You know kabber, if you pause the video and right click, you can select an option called "Copy video URL at current time" and that means anyone who clicks your link will automatically be taken to the time that you have selected in the video Just thought you might like to know
