Never mind that guy. He knows not of what he speaks. You know that thing about looking around and if you are not able to see [subjest here] it is you? Well we all took a good look around the CG forums when they were still up and he was part of subject mentioned. Actually he mentioned said group.

It is massivly ironic that he goes telling other peope not cause problems and watch their words on forums. It does make me laugh long and hard.

Oh and as would be expected you are indeed wrong Spoil-t. these are NOT the official forums. They are, as pointed out, the PlayStation message boards it just so happens that this is the MotorStorm area. Evo HAS threatened an official forums for a very long time. It has yet to happen. So this isas colse to official that there is but is is NOT official. 

Please get your facts straight and move along.

Oh I forgot about the VIP forums... I was not aware that they were the official but if they say so. I thought they were just a sectioned off area of here. Either way way they are naught to shout about.

i had this problem since the game came out and was on the verge of flogging it,i tried everything (clearing game data ect) nothing worked then i put my p3s in dmz following this guidehttp://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610541 after being recommended to do  this by someone here and i  have not had one dropped game or server problem

since i cant remember who told me to do this but cheers anyway, it worked for me there a guide on these forums somewhere aswell but this is the on i followed

Get it wired it helps. just ask ka0s. spacestar, chigro, mr. nimrod etc. 

i had the same problems as you so what i would suggest is that you get your connection wired.

otherwise play another game (unfortunately) if not that helps i'm out of suggestions

Yeah this is the Official Playstation Forums, and this is the Motorstorm section. I think Evo have been redirecting here since Apocalypse, and they`ve been pretty well attended anyway.

I did stick a thread in here with a redirect to setting up your PS3 in a DMZ, dont know if its the one you used Squid but good to hear you`re now having success!

Hey Kegs. I miss the racing and my friends mate so I occasionally stick my nose into the forum to see whats happening and see who is making daft posts, lol.

I came back on line for a couple of days and got a few races with our mutual friend under his new alias. Unfortunately I could not cope with the servers so my return was short lived.

Good to see most of you are still enjoying Motorstorm. I can't wait for motorstorm 4 to come out.

That's a bad assumption to make.

I have a solid wired connection with a sub 10ms ping, running in DMZ with all ports open, and I have 'unable to connect to the server', or get dropped from online racing over and over.  Some nights are worse than others, but it's far from a stable online experience.   If the poor stability of on line gaming was consistent across all games that would be another matter.  This is specific to MS:A.

This isn't an isolated end user issue.   Someone at Evo/Sony--check the network logs and look at the massive number of drops, timeouts, etc...

Yeah, my connection is classified as NAT Type 2 (wired), and I still get tons of drops/kicks/disconnects.

This doesn't happen in any other game. There's something seriously broken about the networking implemented here.
