Re: Regarding the Release of MotorStorm Apocalypse

To tell you the truth, if this happened to me, the last thing I would think of is games.

And being traumatized ain't funny.  I've been traumatized before (which therapy helped) and just seeing anything of the sort will make you go ... well like the soldiers do... shellshocked.

Re: Regarding the Release of MotorStorm Apocalypse

Exactly Hot-Wire.

However, I might stop reading most of the threads in this particular Motorstorm forum soon, because it's very tempting to be jealous of those who already have the game, and I don't really think that's acceptable given the current situation.

I get the funniest feeling that another tectonic distaster may take place before this game is released though, if it is. If the devs and marketers become completely sure that they cannot sell this game (which I sincerely hope they won't) at some point - maybe another off-road racer reworked with some urban areas (no earthquakes of course) could be a solution because a Motorstormer needs their fix!

I'd say this delay has probably got just as much to do with Sony trying to avoid being slaughtered by our wonderful British Tabloids as it is a mark of respect for Japan.

Fair play to Sony for doing it and it's great and all, but I think a nicer touch would have been to go ahead with the release as planned and donate a few £/€/$'s from each copy sold to the relief fund. That would have been a lot more beneficial to Japan than delaying the game, which I'm sure they couldn't care less about, and from a business point of view it would have garnered a lot of positive press for Sony and possibly helped sales a little bit.

A nice concise opinion I totally agree with.

Let me state now that if I'm ever hurt or killed by anything, natural or not, I want the world to carry on.

If you were ever hurt, I'd never eat a Big Mac or Whopper the same again.
