So I just downloaded the update for MSA after not having even played my PS3 in over a month. My issue before was that there are no action packed races in Wreakreation mode... I would always finish 10 to 20 seconds ahead of second place. Then each individual drivers time would also be very spaced out. This was even the case with split screen.

Now after this patch I just raced on The Rock with 15 AI on pro and once again I finished with no one in sight for over 20 seconds. I know a lot of people play this online but I find it more entertaining offline with the bots and normally a friend. I don't understand how Pacific Rift was so solid and this game just seems lacking and discombobulated in specific areas. I think they tried to accelerate in other areas and didn't take enough time polishing everything (especially the things that made the series so great). However this is not the first and only game (especially this year) to disappoint me.

Any news on this matter? The update was supposed to improve Wreckreation mode.... I thought that meant making it feel like an arcade racer and toughening up the AI for some close racing.. All I see is a new track..... Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Bot races really are crappy. You have to go into some online multiplayer for a real challenge!

(part of the reasoning for this is that I have PSN friends who play, but no real life ones)

BTW: the improvement to 'Wreckreation' doesn't involve 'quick race' anyway (except the vehicle changes)

Yeah anyway Killzone, if you are going to complain about wreckreation being too easy then get online. If you are not going to get online then don't complain. Online is harder than AI any day. You just need to race the right people.

ya that is true becuase every time i play wreckreation on veteran i always finish in first and the person in second is 15 sec behind and pacific rift was never like this, it was challenging

Why should I not play the game or complain because I would prefer not playing online? I know that online is where a challenge would lie but it seems that is really unstable as it is. Plus once one car is deemed the best and the track has a fastest route it isn't as fun cause everyone will run the same line Plus there are perks which I personally don't like seeing, they have no place in a racing game IMO.

I like this series with bots since they will all run the different routes and all meet back up at a wide open area. Plus with them all around you there are accidents and explosions from boosting too much, it is just more action packed

They had the AI perfect in Pacific Rift.... They can do it again in this. There seems to be no Rubberbanding use whatsoever in this game, and for an arcade racer that is normal to use. Obviously Taco understands what I am talking about...

There is one catch though. THE STORY RACES ARE CHALLENGING. In arcade races I get in first and stay in first. In the story races I have a hell of a time at some points getting to first. That is the action that I want to experience. As a paying customer I see no reason why I cannot have concern for what I payed for.

Granted, the online isn't very stable but neither is offline sometimes. I've lost my progress on loads of the weekly and dowloadable challenges for no reason so improvements need to be done there too. I also agree about the perks because it's fine as it was in PR without them.

However, people do not always pick the same vehicles and take the same route, especially now that the superbike/car and dirt bike have been pumped up. I can often win against rally cars (which have many of the best times on most tracks) using a suprbike or dirtbike, even if they're good players. I personally also prefer racing against real people because I know that they will often perform better than AI and I have the'achievement' of beating other people out there in the real world. Some races online can be full of carnage and boost exploding too, which i entertaining.

Online is perfectly stable enough to enjoy.
If you're having problems to a point when you're incapable of racing AT ALL, i'd take it up with your service provider and check your connection before moaning like a little girl about how the game isn't right for you.
The game was clearly geared to have a lot of focus on the online. If you're not going to use it, don't complain that the developers didn't focus on the part of the game YOU want the most.
