Are your TV picture ratios correct for the game?

Re: split screen multiplayer

this was present in pacific rift as well.

It is meant to be as you say to preserve the aspect ratio with two displays.

Before anyone comments "thats a stupid idea" you gotta think what happens when you squash 3d out of shape, id presume it would throw the image waay off.

Re: split screen multiplayer

ok so we tested the splitscreen with a friend yesterday and I noticed a weird thing on Bridge to nowhere. I do understand that some compromises have to be made in order to render multiple "screens" but, as it now were, that one "prop" car right after the tunnel and the first jump after it, was missing altogether, you know that one that on the second lap comes bouncing this way and that when the bridge gives way from underneath it and can sometimes be a pain in the ass if it happens on your way just at the right moment..

So what I'm after is this, could those compromises please be made on the background gfx etc. instead of the stuff that affects actual gameplay? And furthermore, is there many tracks that have this behavior? So actually you could do a lot quicker times on 3lap leaderboards online because of it? There's a lot of tracks that have these "props" put on just the right places to make it harder and slower to go around the track..

also, to the guy going about gt5.. ok I understand where you are coming from, but talking about lazy on that regard is quite a bit off.. took them 5-almost 6 years to make a game that borrows over half from the 4th installment.. think about it. :smileywink:
