Saw Arch Enemy live a few years ago and got their live dvd. Angela is awesome. I think she is a fearsome front-woman. I really enjoy the melodic guitars in Arch Enemy.

I saw Trivium, Heaven Shall Burn and The Black Tide last night in Sydney. Most of the people I talked to agreed that The Black Tide's best song was their cover of Metallica's 'Hit The Lights. Everyone seemed to be moshing out to it. Me and my friends were just drinking and watching The Black Tide and Heaven Shall Burn. We went there to see Trivium and they delivered. They played a good mix of all 4 albums, with 3 or more songs from each. I did notice a few little screw ups but even the band were laughing and joking about them. Heafy's vocals are getting really good IMO. We came out of the pit with a few injuries and torn clothing, so we knew we were at a metal show. The best being my mate bleeding out of his ear.

I remember when i was at (it was either Deicide or Cannibal Corpse) i accidently clocked a bloke in the eye with my elbow, thing was he had his eyebrow pierced. Needless to say there was blood, and the piercing was on the ground. All was well though, a general perception from outsiders is that metal gigs and mosh pits are full of dangerous people full of malice and hatred towards others, It really couldn't be further from the truth.

I remember throwing my empty VB cans at the moshers (if there are such a thing) below during Black Label Society's set a few years back.

Everyone! State the best metal gig you've been to.

I'd say Arcturus in '07 or possibly that year's Gigantour that featured Arch Enemy and Megadeth at The Hordern.

^^ We were copping empty beverage cans @ Children Of Bodom @ The Gaelic from the under 18's on the top level, cause they were devo they couldn't get closer to the action, bad showman ship.

Best gig ever? Dark Tranquillity @ The Manning Bar. Ive never seen a front man get the crowd so involved than Mikael, plus he's a redhead. Greatest ever even if they didn't play 'Of Chaos And Eternal Night', it was quickly forgotten though.

Best gig would have to be the BlackCrusade. Line-up was Arch Enemy, Trivium & Machine *****ing Head. Had so much fun

T'was last year, im pretty sure Opeth played as well, It was at Luna Park if i recall, i was a tad intoxicated.
