New Music Suggestions?

Hi!

I'm in the mood for some new music at the moment.

I've hooked up my PS Vita to Music Unlimited and discovered the Offline Cache Playlist mode - it's awesome. I used to use my SE Xperia X10 but the signal drops out on the way to work. This is a lot better. I have a playlist of 144 songs and it doesn't seem to take up too much space.

Back to the point though, there's 15 Million songs on Music Unlimited and I'm keen to hear what your suggestions are for new music.

Sia has offered her vocal talents to a few artists lately - 360, David Guetta and Flo Rida - which I find especially catchy - check out "Wild Ones".

I saw the clip for LMFAO's "I'm Sexy and I Know It" last weekend, for the first time, and this is something I cannot unsee. Strangely though, I find it more endearing after watching the clip.

I don't mind the occasional palettable pop hits, they have their place - mind numbing tracks to pass the time.

A favourite artist of mine, Ella Hooper, is currently working on some solo stuff. I'm looking forward to that. Another one, Kate Miller Heidke has Nightflight coming out on April 13.

What are your recommendations of new music? Be glad to be introduced to it.

Re: New Music Suggestions?

There probably isn't a lot of my type of music on there, House and Trance but if you're looking for new music, check out popular sites like soundcloud and beatport. Also anything released by UKF for drum/bass/dubstep or Armada Music for Trance / Progressive.

Personally vocal trance and progressive is my favourite and I can never get sick of the sound.

Re: New Music Suggestions?

If you enjoy listening to Sia, Ella Hooper & Kate Miller Heidke (that new single that just dropped is pretty cool), I'd suggest checking out:
Best Coast, Lisa Mitchell, Chairlift, The Jezabels, Lana Del Rey, Florence And The Machine, Ladyhawke, Laura Marling, Kimbra, First Aid Kit & Regina Spektor

All of the above have recently released tracks, however I'm not too sure if all of them will be on Music Unlimited.

Cheers. Some new stuff to check out.

I've heard about Best Coast somewhere before, not sure where, but I'll check them out.

Re: New Music Suggestions?

I have no idea if you'll like him and a lot of people generally don't enjoy hiphop (I don't have a taste for it in general) but I've really been enjoying Anthony Hamilton lately SBS. He has a wonderful voice and his lyrics are great. Some might remember a few songs that he did for the film American Gangster like Do you Feel Me. He might be on Music Unlimited, don't have a sub for it right now.
