Re: Progressive Rock / Metal

I went and seen Opeth and Dream theatre in Rottadam last Oct. Also went to A 3 day progpower fest in Netherlands. mates band Chaos Divine from perth were playing there.

very different to what we hear and see in Aust. No mosh pit just standing around enjoying the music.

Must say the after partys with the bands were great.

Re: Progressive Rock / Metal

Saw Opeth on their 20th anniversary tour in Los Angeles on April 9th.

Met them, too.

Unless I get married, it'll probably go down as the greatest day in my life. Or close to.

Re: Progressive Rock / Metal

^ Wow this looks awesome, man Portnoy is a very busy man, with drumming for Ax7 as well. Another supergroup yay!

For the black Metal Fans (bit off topic) Check out OV HELL another supergroup :

Shagrath (Dimmu Borgir/Fimbulwinter/Chrome Division)

King (Gorgoroth/Sahg/Audrey Horne)

Teloch (1349/Gorgoroth)

Ice Dale (God Seed/Audrey Horne/Enslaved)

Frost (Satyricon/1349/Keep of Kalessin)

There has been heaps of band members getting together of late, im loving it.

Re: Progressive Rock / Metal

Funny, considering Portnoy has left AX7 and Dream Theater won't let him come back.

Anyways, been checking out Vanishing Point as of late. Pretty awesome Aussie Prog Metal.

Petrucci doesn't want him back ever by the sounds of things.
