PS Suite Q&A for Xperia Play launch
Q.1 What is PS Suite content?
It is PlayStation content provided from SCE via PlayStation pocket (PS pocket) application, preinstalled in the PlayStation Certified devices. (Xperia Play from Verizon does not come with PSpocket application. For further information, please refer to Q7)
Q.2 What is PS pocket?
It is an application for managing PS Suite content, pre-installed in PlayStation Certified devices.
(Xperia play from Verizon does not come with PS pocket application)
Q.3 What do you need to play PS Suite content?
PlayStation Certified device (currently only Xperia Play) and PS Suite content are needed. PS Suite content is either preinstalled in the device or it can be downloaded from Android Market Place (AMP) (not all regions will offer downloadable content on AMP at launch, please refer to Q7).
Users will also need Wi-Fi network connection when downloading content from AMP. Users can buy content via either 3G or Wi-Fi.
Q.4 Can I play PS Suite content on my cell phone?
Only Xperia Play is supported at this point in time.
Q.5 How is PS Suite content for Android devices different from the original PlayStation content?
PS Suite content is specifically tuned to be played on PlayStation certified Android devices.
Q.6 There are some game titles within Xperia Play viewer, but how are these different from PS Suite content?
PS Suite contents are quality controlled by SCE on PlayStation certified devices.
Q.7 Which game on Xperia Play viewer is PS Suite content and which ones are not? How can you tell it apart?
PlayStation games under PS pocket application are PS Suite content. Xperia Play from Verizon does not have PS pocket application, but can tell from Developer information. If the Developer information says that it is provided from “Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.,” the content is PS Suite content.

Q.8 Where can users buy PS Suite content? There is no PS Suite content on AMP, when will you release them?
Users can buy PS Suite content on AMP from PS pocket application preinstalled on Xperia Play (Xperia Play from Verizon will not have PS pocket application and will not have any content on AMP at launch either: Users can play only the Crash Bandicoot at this point in time. Please refer to the reference on A7).
We have nothing to comment at this point in time for launch timings of other titles.
Q.9 I bought PS Suite content and it says that I need a Wi-Fi connection to download the game. I don’t have a Wi-Fi connection.
The game data size is large and due to this, users will need a Wi-Fi connection to download the game.

Q.10 How long does it take to download PS Suite content?
It depends on the users’ network connection status and game size. The game data size are approximately few hundreds MB.
Q.11 I ran out of battery while I was downloading. What do I need to do to download again?
Users will need to charge the Xperia Play and try downloading again from the AMP downloaded
history log.
Q.12 I got disconnected from Wi-Fi connection while I was downloading. I accidentally deleted my title from the list. What do I need to do to download again?
Users will need to download again from the AMP downloaded history log.
Q.13 It takes too much time to download the content. I want my money back.
The money will be refunded according to the Android Market refund policy.
Q.14 What is the difference between the PS pocket application and Xperia Play viewer?
Why do you have two similar applications? Why did you not integrate the two into one application? PS pocket application is for managing PS Suite content provided from SCE. We have decided to adopt its own application to keep the PS Suite content separated from the other game applications.
Q.15 Can users buy content provided on PS Store from PS pocket?
No.
Q.16 Can you share PS Suite content with your family members (or friends) who also has Xperia Play?
No. Content is connected to the Google ID registered to the device.
Q.17 How many game titles will become available at launch and what titles? What are the up-coming titles? How often will you add the titles?

Titles will be listed if you press the search button on the upper right hand side of the PS pocket
application. (There are no ways to search the titles on Xperia Play from Verizon who do not have
the PS pocket application, however there will be no titles available on AMP at launch timing).
Q.19 In which regions do you sell Xperia Play?

Q.20 Can users download PS Suite content from other devices?
Users cannnot download PS Suite content from non-PlayStation Certified devices.
Q.21 Please tell us about the security measures for PS Suite content.
Since this is an overall security related issue, we will not be providing further commentary with regards to this case; however, as we always have we will continue to take necessary actions to protect the intellectual property of the content offered on the AMP.
Q.22 There are many unofficial (piracy) PlayStation applications on AMP. How will SCE act against these applications?
Users will be able to find/buy official PlayStation content through PS pocket application. For other unofficial (piracy) applications, we will continue our effort to take necessary actions to protect the intellectual property of the content. Since this is an overall security related issue, we will not be providing further commentary with regards to this case.
