Fan-favourites from Hideo Kojima's legendary franchise hit the PlayStation®Vita system in June 2012.

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today unveiled the launch month for METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection, coming to PlayStation Vita in June 2012.

From the critically acclaimed director, Hideo Kojima, METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection includes two beloved classics, METAL GEAR SOLID 2: Sons of Liberty and METAL GEAR SOLID 3: Snake Eater. Featuring stunning, upgraded graphics from the original releases on PlayStation®2, both titles include Transfarring, where players can transfer save data from their PlayStation®3 METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection to their PS Vita system and start the action from where they left off.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for PS Vita allows fans to experience the series like never before with optimised controls that take full advantage of the PS Vita's unique touch-screen and rear touchpad. Using just their fingers, gamers can zoom in on captivating cut-scenes, peek around corners, interrogate enemies, cycle through weapons/items, as well as perform quick attacks with their knife.

METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection will be available on PlayStation®Vita this June.

Not for me, its a rip off not to include peace walker, meaning no multiplayer whatsoever, at least give a psn code to get the game for free

Kind of agree, I can save $20 and get an extra game with the PS3 version.

Re: METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection to hit PS Vita in June

Well, the Vita version from what I've seen is about $20 cheaper, so I'll probably get that and just pay the difference for the PSP version downloadable version... (I'll wait for it to come down)

I appreciate it's a pain... and I'm not entirely sure why they did it when surely PSP and Vita versions of games shouldn't be competing with oneanother for purchase over the Vita.. (If that's the case, why even still have the PSP version of LBP or Modnations on the store, even if they are different games) ... but from what I've read Peace Walker was the worst of the ports on the PS3, and for me it was always about being able to play MGS2 and 3, even on the PS3 version.

I've just gotta wait for a time where I don't have other games I'm busy with, otherwise it'll just end up like Jak 2 and 3 and shelved..
