PS Vita: Games Lounge

Howdy!

I'm halfway through Uncharted GA on Hard at the moment and there's a bit I can't get through. I keep dying

So on the weekend I started up Escape Plan - it's the one I got for $8 off with the PS Vita Preorder.

It's filled with lots of small levels, puzzle game stuff, requiring lateral thought and quick reflexes. It's a little challenging for me (but fun) as my fingers don't seem to know where to tap the rear touch pad most of the time.

Anyone else having fun with this game? There's also a 'prequel' DLC coming soon - and it's free.

Only Bronze, Silver and Gold PSN trophies, so no platinum, but I'm having fun anyway.

Yeah, I had heaps of fun (and a little frustration) with Escape Plan. Along with the DLC is a patch to tune up the touch accuracy/responseviness too. Looking forward to the prequel, I nailed 100% of the game a little while back so it will be a good reason to break it out again

What bit are you having troubles with in GA?

I'm redoing it on Hard, I'm up to around #28 - just after Sully has a date with the ground and hurts his leg. They keep either killing me or him before I can do too much about it.

Tried pretty much every gun available to start with. Just can't get through. I've picked it up a dozen times and played for 20 minutes but can't get through.

Ok, I'll load up later and see if I can refresh my memory... but I think iirc, make the heavy weapons work for you.. With GA, always make the one shot kills... know the locations of those weapons beforehand... eg: when the two of you come down from the temple and have three or four waves of attacks while rope climbing... very hard to do when headshotting 9mm... the desert is best...

So anyway, in this case I think there are grenade launchers or something... when thats exhausted, take their spaz shotties or M60s

I love Escape plan. Playing through again at the moment to get 3 stars of every level. It looks great, the puzzles make sense, and the deaths are humourous. I think I looked like a bit of a crazy person sitting there laughing in the coffee shop as I played this game on my break at work. xD I was playing the level where you have to heard the sheep so that Llarge (SP?)  can land on them, and I somehow accidentally got the three sheep in a pile on top of eachother. It was sadly hilarious.

Should be much easier to get the 3 stars now. Before the patch, ratings were based on the amount of touches and time taken to complete, now its only based on time.

Have you had a shot at completing a new game with no more than 20 deaths yet? That is a tough challenge.

I've got 100% trophies on this.

Now working on getting Platinum on Uncharted Golden Abyss.

There's still a couple of levels I cannot get 3 stars on.

There are supposed to be some challenge levels coming soon, or weekly competitions for highest scores.

Will have to load it up again and check for updates.

The toughest part of the Golden Abyss platinum is getting the Black Market items, it was a grind :/

Technically that's a breeze, Crushing is a lot more intense and stressful.

Black Market is just a long drawn out process. Unless you know when your mates are going to jump on so you can trade with them in real time.

If you're still hanging out for more Black Market items, check the Black Market thread in the Uncharted Section, there's a few people there that have all the items and can help
