PS Vita Games

that the PS Vita games are a bit weak at the moment? Like, to be honest, i was expecting way more out of my ps vita, and since i completed the katamari game (which was a good game), i havent really touched my vita.

Theres just no games that im seeing for the UK that interest me.. the launch games i feel were too bland? I want to have a lot more first person shooters and banjo kazooie type adventure games..

I dunno.. theres just nothing exciting me about the vita for a while now... i hope i dont lose faith in it!

A FPS coming soon which may interest you is resistance burning skies, available from Sainsburys for £29.99 which is a decent price for a new game.
Sly cooper thieves in time for the vita looks like similar gameplay to Banjo Kazooie so might be worth looking into.
as most people will tell you the vita has the best launch line up of any console (more games at launch) which catered for different genres.
Also E3 is coming soon and apparently Sony has lots of new gaming experience for both the vita and the ps3, with such a big expo coming up its not suprising if they've kept certain things hidden so they can "win" e3.

A console or handheld has ever had this much to offer this soon after it launch.

TBH FPS are over rated IMO.

Every new hardware release sees a slump in new releases after launch because the majority of devs want there games out for the launch window. Add to that the annual summer draught of games and you're in a situation most people expacted to be in.

Even if there's a ton of announcements at E3 it'll still take several months at the earliest for the games to be released.

At this stage the best advice i can give is to join a rental service and try all the games that vaguely interest you. One or two games might pleastantly suprise you. Other than that it's the price you pay for being an early adopter.

I share the OP's thoughts on it being weak after launch day.

In my opinion its taken far too long to get Gravity Rush out. It was advertised as a launch window game, its sure not one of those anymore. (Not that this is recent news, Just still feel a bit let down).

Only the other day I walked into a GAME store just to see if anything caught my eye for the system. Nope.

Saying that, the 3DS latest games are pretty much non existent again too right now.

Its not really moaning when you spend that much money and dont really get what you paid for, thats just how i see it. Like, so far in my personal experience with the vita, the games dont seem that much different to standard games you can get for your iphone / ipad. 

Like how did games such as Lumines and a side scrolling rayman make it to the list of launch games? Why rave about a machine and its graphics capabilities and its gameplay etc when youre not even releasing enough games to prove it?

I feel sony dont prepare enough for western releases, have u seen the amount of games japan has? 

I agree aswell the 3DS is starting to fade out with its exciting games (Although that new Kid Icarus game looks quite good)

Resistance Burning Skies next week. Killzone, Call of Duty and BioShock also coming albeit a bit further in the future. I've got a PS3 for my FPS games. I don't want Vita full of them as well the market is over saturated as it is.

Even though I am getting Burning Skies I'd still rather see more original releases for Vita, and those are coming in abundance. I mean seriously, Vita has only been out a couple of months, it takes time for a new system to find its feet and grow but the games will come, just be patient.

Echoes of the PS3 launch I feel. People said exactly the same but look at it now. Why can people not wait these days?

With respect what were you expecting? Sony to suddenly announce and instantly release a bunch of unheard of games?

We all knew the games getting released and by and large we knew the release schedule for them. The games you mentioned probably didn't take that many resources to make and were probably thought to make a bit of money.
