I went to download the patch and it is nearly 1 whole gigabyte!! How can a patch be that big?? Is anybody else surprised by this? It just seems an awful lot when whole games can be smaller than this.

there is dlc included in the patch hence the size

It's the Asylum DLC in the update. When you buy the DLC pack from the store for 21p (Current price), it will unlock it in the game.

hmmm, the patch and the dlc are two separate things. The patch lists what it brings to the game. The Asylum dlc is separate to that. Sometimes a game will release a patch that you need in order to play upcoming dlc (GT5 seems to do this. There will always be a patch a few days before a new car pack comes out) but still..

And, supposing that this is the dlc as well, its still an awful lot for what is essentially just a few costumes and maps.

I brought the Asylum pack DLC from the store myself and it is only 100kb, so I know it was added with the normal game update.

Thanks. Exactly. How can the dlc be 100 kb but the patch be nearly 1gig?

When you compare it to the recent Battlefield 3 patch that was 1gig.

And even when SOCOM Confrontation launched, the game was broken. They released a 'fix everything' patch and even that was only 500mb.

hey, can anyone tell me if there is a better way to download the escape plan update because my Vita goes into sleep mode after the 10 minutes and the wifi connection is stopped thereafter and the size is so damn big that it says its gonna take like around 3000 minutes to download---- and i cant be tapping the screen every 10 minutes for 3000 minutes... Please if anybody has any solutions for me,  i'll be extremely grateful --- thanks

If your Vita isn't downloading while in sleep mode then there's something wrong with it... :?

should be downloading still when you put it into sleep mode since a couple patches ago

seriously??? woah, that means i gotta check it out again, ill actually try it out right now.... thanks... but still, even while im playing games on my vita and i put the update to download in the backround, it still stops and says error couldn't download ....... Darn my Internet connection!!!
