Moving to PSN download only question.

I got Uncharted Golden Abyss when I bought my Vita and have since completed it but I have decided I want to only download games from the PSN Store from now on. does anyone know if I buy Uncharted Golden Abyss from the PSN store if my save game will transfer over? or will I have to replay the game through again? or can I transfer my save game from the game card to the system memory?

Re: Moving to PSN download only question.

why don't you just keep UC as the disc? if you're going to download only, then you won't be using the drive again, therefore by leaving it in the drive, you don't have to end up buying it again, which does sound a little ridiculous...

Re: Moving to PSN download only question.

Bear in mind if you are going to stay completely download only, even with a 32GB card you are going to have to either, keep a small number of games, buy a second card, or wait and hope a 64GB card comes out...

Back to your original question, I don't know, but I suspect not, going on the track record of download vs disc game saves not working... In my own experience I can confirm Ratchet and Clank Q4B didn't work, and I know of several either titles which likewise didn't work...

And you can't resell used games bought on PSN.

Re: Moving to PSN download only question.

Thanks for the answer, I think I'll take everyones advice and just stick to buying most games on cards in the meantime... seems the digital revolution is still a few years away yet.

Re: Moving to PSN download only question.

I spent a lot of money on digital games thinking they would be better turns out they are not sony love to remove stuff you downloaded of your list .so far i have lost god of war 2( removed after i did not renew playstaion plus as i purchased for a £2 discount ) motorstorm arctic edge and just recently tales from space about a blob .even if you contact sony and ask they just fob you off with a refrence number and a promise somebody will look into it

Re: Moving to PSN download only question.

To be fair, motorstorm was removed due to an exploit

Re: Moving to PSN download only question.

how about a patch and reupload it ? to take it away after you paid for it is just not fair removing games from people who have paid cash .either way old game i got maybe 2 years ago so not a massive issue with me but as a whole switching to digital even when you buy these games of the store sony can and will remove them of your list as they see fit

Re: Moving to PSN download only question.

Yeah I agree with you on that front. Seems unfair to remove something from the download list - thankfully it hasn't happened to me yet.

I'm sure they will patch motorstorm and make it available again - otherwise the company who developed/published the game would be on their backs!

Of course, one advantage of digital downloads over physical copies is that if you lose a physical copy or your vita/game gets stolen then there's nothing you can do. At least with the digital versions you could redownload the game for free.
