Sega has revealed that Phantasy Star Online 2 will be free to play on both the PC and PlayStation Vita. The game, however, will feature micro transactions, meaning that players can opt to pay for in-game items.

A version of Phantasy Star Online 2 has also been announced for iOS and Android. It will share character data with the PC and PS Vita versions, but will be more simple and have social aspects.

Phantasy Star Online 2 will release in Japan in Winter 2012 for the PC. The PS Vita is due in 2013.

Is this true im reading this on a few sites and not sure if its a rumour.

If so this will be up there with great epicness like the release of a monster hunter 4 or a new one just for Vita, and more than likly sell loads of Vita's to us westerners.

Ps this seems the most legit site iv wread this on: http://www.sonypsvitablog.com/

Re: Phantasy stare universe 2

It's true, the Vita version was announced at the PS Vita game heaven event held a few weeks back. If you want more official proof can't go wrong with Sony's official Vita YouTube channel.

Though there has been no confirmed localisation as of yet, a few PSO Fans have found what looks to be translation files in the closed beta for the game.

And also, most Phantasy Star games have been ported anyway so there's a good chance!
