hi guys i was wondering if this barcode on my vita is important because it was coming off
I'm sure you'll be fine but if it's worrying you then just jot down the barcode (numbers/letters) on a bit of paper and keep it somewhere safe for any future reference.
Do the same with your Serial Number too.

That's a difficult one as sticking it back on could be seen as "modifying" it which is one of stipulations for what you mustn't do to keep your warranty.

Big difference between the OS license code falling off and the serial number.
Its usually the terms and conditions that if the serial number if removed/modified in any way they will refuse warranty. Its BS I agree, but I will still be concerned especialy as its Sony. If you fart too near the hardware they would probably refuse service.

Good point, although that is a long-form version of the serial code.
It shows the serial, model and I'm guessing the batch code, possibly including a code for place of manufacture. That would be the code I would expect them to scan if taking the device in for service.
Now noticing that indeed it does have a second sticker showing the serial, its less likely to be a problem. Obviously both stickers will still match up as showing the same information.

i spent 2 hours on the phone for my ps vita, and since both stickers fell off ( idk where they are ) and i dont have a receipt, they would not let me send in my ps vita even though i spent 70$ on a 2 year protection plan and i have been buying and using apps from PSN, so the answer is a dead no if you want your vita fixed, and / or a new one, your outta luck. worst idea for a mobile number to be a sticker, ( best marketing scam ) so if anything happens you just gotta buy a new ps vita.
