Maybe because Vita has different control methods and doesn't want to rely on ports. It's a unique machine with its own strengths and therefore should have its own set of games that play to its strengths rather than a load of ports. If I thought Sony would ever go down this route to bump up the Vita's game catalogue instead of producing new games I woudn't have ever got one.

Don't get me wrong there's no harm in bringing ports of popular PS3 games to Vita, but let's not rely on them please.

I agree completely although sony did press on at E3 that they would like more of their games to become part of a Cross play system being able to play say call of duty on the ps3 against someone on the vita whos half way around the world and then being able to grab your own vita and shoot out and play on the go.

The whole Idea of making games cross console compatable is one of pure genius form a thearetical stand point but as for it actually coming into existance, well I can't see that happening for at least 12-24 months and even then I can see it being sketchy at best.

Either way the only way to know is it simply wait and see what happens. xD
