Re: Wipeout 2048 (cant get online )

Homehub 2 owner here as well, getting the dreaded error message if I try to play Wipeout with Wi-Fi enabled. It was working fine for a few days but for the last week or so has been displaying the error code C2-12828-1 whenever I play the game with Wi-Fi on. I posted on the facebook page but that seems to have gone down now? I cant really see how its a port issue if every other game works fine? Any help guys?

Re: Wipeout 2048 (cant get online )

ok i can only talk about (netgear DG834GT ) not home hub sorry , 2 things to do *SHOULD BE POSSIBLE ON ALL ROUTERS) if you tried opening ports make sure you also asign the PSvita with its own IP address and make sure the MTU is 1500. when opening ports make sure you open them for inbound and outbound and put the ip address as the same as the one you gave to the PSvita.

like i said for netgear DG834GT i can give a step by step guide ill do this tomorrow as it will take time.

OK - I fixed mine on BT homehub 2

I went into the port forwarding section of the homehub settings webpage and selected the Mac addres that showed up in my Vita settings menu (under system) and chose Playstation Vita from the menu. I then selected firewall and set it to off. It saved and then selected 'default' again automatically. I was a bit worried I had switched off the firewall on my connection completely, but checked on my McAfee settings and it is still active, so I guess I only switched it off as it relates to the Vita, Anyway, hey presto - no error message and it now loads and plays fine with Wi-Fi on. I will let you know if I have any more problems but let me know if you need any more info.

Re: Wipeout 2048 (cant get online )

Hi, This is really strange but my Vita doesn't show up in my list, I've done this with my PS3 and XBox in the past without any problems :smileysad: Also, I'm not seeing PS Vita as a sported application :smileysad:

Re: Wipeout 2048 (cant get online )

It does show on the list for the homehub, but it wasnt a week or so back. Just to let you know, this morning the error code came back, so I did the same steps and turned off the firewall using the homehub settings and the game is working fine again now, I wonder if this has to be done every time I start up my computer?

Re: Wipeout 2048 (cant get online )

Tried it again today and it works fine, and no concerns on the fireall front for my PC! Its still runnin McAfee firewall. If anyone is having a problem with Wipeout: 2048 on BT home hub then make sure you select the Vita as an allowed application, then switch off the firewall in advanced settings.

Re: Wipeout 2048 (cant get online )

I'm finding this really frustrating, the PS Vita isn't showing up and I'm also not getting a PS Vita option in the list of supported applications. Very strange :smileysad:
