Facebook blocks Devices from the main site.
This is done buy User agent ID and java script.
Its not the PS Vita its the fact that browser does not have the top five browsers names in it Browser ID.
SAFARI
FIREFOX
CHROME
OPERA
IE
Thats all that are allowed on Facebook PC site normaly.
The vita IDs itself to the Web site and get booted to the mobile version.
Mozilla/5.0 (Playstation Vita ?.??) AppleWebKit/531.22.8 (KHTML, like Gecko) Silk/3.2
Silk/3.2 is the same browser tech level as "Amazon kimble". This asks the site to treat the vita the same as the kimble browser.
?.?? = firmware number.
Theres no way around this as SCE is obeying the rules about IDing the equipment. If they were to Spoof one of the top five the site may break the browser...
MY PC browser ID
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686) AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu/12.04 Chromium/18.0.1025.168 Chrome/18.0.1025.168 Safari/535.19
IDs as 3 different Browser supported on it...
YouTube PS3 companion app HD video, NA 1.04/EU 1.00 720p HD Video

Another thing which can decide on the version of the site you see is the proxy system that the 3G operator use.
At one point Orange were forcing the mobile version of all sites whether using a phone, smartphone or tethering to a PC. It's possible your operator is doing that with facebook
True... I fogot that...

Remember the old tv show re-runs very well. guess that name got lodged in there because its was watched in grey and white and old school style. Before a Colour portable TV. like the kindle very old school display via New technology to keep the battery going longer.
Or do you have a kindle fire version...
