Re: 32GB Memory Card coming to UK

I need 64GB at least, I have 16GB at the moment, but if I am to use the Vita for it's 'multimedia' potential ie music and videos as well, then I can easily fill 32GB and the prospect of having to constantly delete and redownload games is very frustrating.

Re: 32GB Memory Card coming to UK

I have had a 32GB card since launch but I don't use it for multi media. I rather use my iPhone and iPad for that. I've got full games, demos and one or two videos on mine and have about 14GB left right now.

You obviously don't have a clue about how retail works. In short Amazon is an online only retailer with much lower overheads or day to day costs. They also sell a wide variety of items not all of them cheaper. GAME has both an online presence and and bricks and mortar retail stores so their overheads or day to day costs are much higher. Supermarket often sell gaming products cheaper too but again it's a very small part of their business and most of their profits come from their grocery sales. They can afford to sell T low cost or even at a loss. At the end of the day GAME is a specialty games retail store selling primarily games related products with physical retail stores as well as online.

Even so £20 more is very excessive.

Re: 32GB Memory Card coming to UK

It may be excessive but that is the MSRP and that's what they are planning to sell it at. Most local retailers will sell it for the same, possibly £5 cheaper. Besides no one is forcing you or anyone else to buy from them.

I dont except that argument at all, ts not as if they sell games or even consoles for 35% more than online retailers now is it.

I wouldnt be buying one anyway. They are a complete rip off in my eyes.

You have to wonder why Game are not trying to be more competitive though, especially geven how close they were to going out of business. Obviously they have not learned anything for the situation.

Like I said you have no clue about the retail business. GAME aren't the only high street store selling items for the MSRP or higher prices in general. You can't compare a bricks and mortar retail with an online one. They aren't a rip off as no one is forcing you or anyone else to buy from them. If you don't like their prices don't buy from them. A lot of bricks and mortar retailers are hurting financially because they can't compete with online sites but they are not in a position to offer such low prices as would most definitely make things worse for them. It's got nothing to do with learning from anything. When you actually understand how retail works then come back. Until then you have no basis for your argument.

Defensive much?

£70 for a 32 gig card is a rip off. Spin it which ever way you want, overpriced is still overpriced.
