Re: A PSP Game A Day Until Vita Comes Out

Hotpixel.JPG

The Game I played yesterday was.... Hot Pixel!

Now, this game came out in 2007 but I only picked it up somewhere in the last couple of years after I saw it going for real cheap.  It's a collection of fast paced mini games, kind of similar to Wario Ware.  The game features many popular culture references including cameos from classic Atari games and properties such as Tempest and I even saw a brief game featuring the old Atario ST desktop which brought back some memories.

The fast paced nature of the game was ideal for playing the game on the move, however it was my day off so I had the privilege of playing the game from the comfort of my own living room XD.  And as such I managed to get a good way through it.  The levels are really short and there are only 200 odd of them, once you work out what it is you have to do in them, they become pretty simple, sometimes you just need to remember quickly.

But there are more levels to download and thanks to the game's release day (before the PSP PS Store) you can download 75 extra levels for free from the game's website just by downloading a Zip file and emptying it into the save game data folder in your PSP!  The site is still there even.

The game I'm playing today is... SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2!

Re: A PSP Game A Day Until Vita Comes Out

The game I was playing yesterday was SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2!

This one might be kept quick as yesterday was a busy day.  I didn't get much other than the first 2 missions done with SOCOM but I will say that I have always thought that the Fireteam games probably have the best controls for 3rd person shooters on the PSP.  Oddly enough, the second one in the series was the one I skipped.  I was very much into FTB1 and when FTB3 came out I played it straight away!

I was actually given this copy shortly before making the trek down to London to start at SCEE.  I played it for a couple of nights before my stuff (including my PS3) got sent down so the game reminds me very much of these 3 days where I wasn't working or watching any tv!

No, yesterday I spent a bit of my gaming time playing Soulcalibur 5 and Unit 13.  Which is what playing FTB2 reminded me off to be honest.  Or at least Unit 13 reminded me of FTB, just with twin stick controls.

Anyway, today's game is Power Stone Collection!

Win 1 of 2 copies of SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3!

OK, so I have been talking about SOCOM FTB2 today but I have 2 promo copies of last years FTB3 to giveaway.

They are promotional copies so once again, no manuals or box but fear not as I will provide a code for the online pass on a compliments slip for you to be able to play online with.

Here's what I want you to answer for me:

SOCOM was designed and is most frequently developed by Zipper Interactive.  But who were responsible for Tactical Strike, Confrontation and Fireteam Bravo 3?

The first 2 people to respond to this thread with the correct answer will win the games!

Looks at this though:
