Hopefully you can see if you look towards the bottom right of my Vita screen there is basically what looks like a fingerprint or smudge under the screen and it makes the whole area look lighter. This is not the normal mura effect that everyone is reporting. It is not visible on a black screen, only when there is colour, it is most visible on grey or dark blue.
Really annoyed as I bought a PSP at launch and had to exchange it 4 times to get one without dead pixels. And now this, trypical really.
Anyone else seen anything similar or have any suggestions for what to do. It really bugs me because it is visible in games and very visible on movies especially.

I see what you mean, I did some further research on the term mura and you're quite right. It's almost like when you press your finger on a TFT monitor screen and it goes light, as if there is some uneven pressure on the screen. According to what I've read this would still count.
I hate how they try to claim that dead pixels and things like this are not a fault. Clearly it's not meant to be like that, other units are not like that and it spoils my enjoyment of the product, especially given the price of it!
Sony should be much more careful with their quality control.
