"In a new European PlayStation Blog post for Alien Spidy, Kalypso product manager Andrew McKerrow admitted that their upcoming platformer isn’t actually coming to PlayStation Vita. He said that the developers at Enigma Software were looking to get the attention of any and every publisher, and pitched the game on practically every platform. Alien Spidy is actually going to launch on PlayStation Network for PS3, Xbox Live Arcade, and on PC next month. While a Vita version isn’t currently in development the crew aren’t ruling it out.
Vita followers will remember the platformer for dazzling us with its unique concept, and beautiful graphics when it was announced at Sony’s Gamescom 2011 presentation. Yes, a game not coming to Vita was announced for Vita during a Sony press conference. We at Near Vita find this news disturbing. We realize that getting the attention of big publishers is difficult, but outright lying to a platform holder, and then to potential customers just for attention is downright terrible. If this game was on a platform only during publisher pitches, don’t allow it to be showcased in media events, and don’t release trailers for the general public to see."
