Re: Anyone interested in the PS Vita?

I dont actually know roughly how much they are.

I was just assuming they're gonna be priced rather high... at 1st anyway.

I'll deffinatley be keeping a close on this, those pesky trains up to see Arsenal would become that little more enjoyable :smileytongue:

Ive got around 9 PSP games on them umd disc things...
does anyone know if i could play them on this new vita any way?

and what about a few PSN titles ive bought for my PS3?

For me... I will be getting one just to write a FULL BLOWN REVIEW! :smileyvery-happy:

However, lets hope that future developers doesn't lock SAVE transfer if we need to to UPGRADE our memory stick!!!!!!!

SAVE lock = No buys for me + I will write one of the MOST EVIL REVIEW Sony will EVER let their hands on! I am not kidding and I will go full blown just to write a 5 page review - starting with the PRICE!

@lfcrule1972: This is the evolution where Sony will take. This means... no more CD-ROM / DVD / Portable Blueray disk for the future generation. Everything will be put through the server and use for downloading, playing and ect.

Re: Anyone interested in the PS Vita?

I'm extremely tempted, but I'm one of those who thinks dedicated handheld systems will fail to gain mainstream popularity, much like the 3DS struggled till it had it's price drastically cut, and even then, it isn't quite selling what previous Nintendo handhelds did.

Sony never had as much brand recognition in that area, or mass market appeal. Mobile phones and tablets are satisfying the mainstream, and with the Vita priced as high as it is (and yes, it is priced high, regardless of what it actually is) I can't see it selling well without a price drop. I'm probably willing to pay for it at launch, but I don't know if I will, it depends on the launch titles.

But I do think we could see them drop the price in a desperate attempt to claw back momentum when it inevitably fails to meet anywhere near sales expectations. I'm very much in favour of dedicated handheld systems, it's just the market has moved on, and it takes some convincing, as demonstrated by the 3DS.

Re: Anyone interested in the PS Vita?

I was at first, the price was right, it had great games announced. Now it looks like the games will cost around £40 and require me to buy a memory card, now my interest had dropped off massively...

Re: Anyone interested in the PS Vita?

I really want one....and probably might, but i'm still not sure.

Only thing holding me back is the Internal Memory (storage) or lack of it, thus the need for the Mem Cards, which from what i have been reading are a specific Vita based card.

Although, if it has fantastic and proper remote Play with the PS3 (over wi-fi) then i am sold.

In which case wasn't it somewhat presumptuous and arrogant to make a thread

with certain negative tones without doing any research first?
