PS Vita: General Discussion

Hey fellow Vita users!

Had my vita for 2 days now and just getting used to all the sleek features. One problem i have is that when i go to 'Friends' section or 'party' it doesn't make me sign into the psn I.E my friends on ps3 can't see me online. i can send and recieve messages though. Another thing is when i invite ps3 friends to a party on the vita, they dont have an option to join. Is the party chat only for Vita users?

Any help on how to actually "Sign in" on the vita would be a great help.

u r signed in it just doesnt show on your friends ps3's , u will be at the bottom of their list

as for party chat on ps3 , never happening its vita only im afraid

The PS3 needs updated to handle the Vita Sign on better. At the moment you appear down the bottom as McNellio said, though your profile will probably not fully load.
Sometimes it'll appear as Online, or Away, but it varies.

Party chat is likely too different to be linked into the version on PS3, though not impossible. It may well happen, though the Integration of the Vita needs more work before that.

its just like cross game chat , sony have already said ther ps3 cant do it due to ram issues

Party chat is already a feature. It's just separate from the Vita and can only be used out of games. Even out of games it'd still be useful.

Apologies for the crap quality. but this was what I'm on about. Being able to link this in with the Vita would be pretty good. Even if it just means you can chat with people, it links the consoles together and allows you to finish off that conversation you were having while the Vita charges and you check your emails on the PS3 browser. (If that ever gets an update )

Indeed it would be a good feature, if your friends on ps3 were not in a game, you could set up the party on your vita, and even have a conference video call. or just an audio call. If they are in a game, then just have a text chat. Maybe sony will look into this feature soon.
