Are all psp games that you download have a poor picture quality?

I bought my first PSP game off the network. I must say, I'm disappointed. Bought grand theft auto vice city stories, and its all pixelated and poor picture quality. Is it suppose to be like this, because this isn't how I remember it on the PSP. If so, is it like this for all downloaded games? This may put me off buying more in future.

Welcome to High quality screen on low quality games

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRLr1ywGJRE

Have you been in this menu lately...

PSP™Game Menu

When PSP™Game format software is running, touch and hold the screen to display the Settings screen, where you can make various settings.

Bilinear Filtering
Bilinear filtering is a function that smoothes the roughness of the graphics. Because the screen resolution for PSP™Game software is suited for the PSP™ system screen, graphics can appear rough when they are displayed on your PS Vita system. Which supports some HD (high definition) formats. Enable bilinear filtering to enjoy smoother graphics.

With some games, the effects of bilinear filtering might be hard to see, and the graphics might be rough even when bilinear filtering is enabled. In this case, disable bilinear filtering.
Right Stick
You can assign PSP™ system functions such as the analog stick and the functions of directional buttons to the right stick of your PS Vita system.

Camera
You can specify whether your PS Vita system uses the front camera or the rear camera.

Color Space (PSP™ System)
The screen of your PS Vita system uses organic EL technology, so its color space differs from the color space of the PSP™ system, which uses a liquid crystal screen. Enabling this function makes the color space of your PS Vita system more like that of a liquid crystal screen, so you can enjoy more original color.

With some games, the effect of this function might be hard to see even when this function is enabled, and the colors might not be to your liking. In this case, disable this function.

Remember PSP was built with only 480 × 272 resolution. So upscaling will have to do a lot of work..

Re: Are all psp games that you download have a poor picture quality?

In my personal experience I havent had any issues with PSP games. I have tried Hot Shots Tennis, Dissidia 012, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, DJ MAX Portable 3 without any inconvenience. I have played around with the screen settings but always keep them the regular ones (Bilinear filter on the same as Color space). This games look great, in fact they look better than on the PSP.

Not sure about the EU but its been in the USA PSN store since a good while now. It actually looks gloriously in the Vitas huge screen. I am also looking forward Technika Tune now!
