You must sign in with the account that is linked with this PS Vita System. (NP-2100-3)

I had the same problem only the difference with me is that the account I have linked to my Vita was taken over by another user. I recently downloaded Assassins Creed 3 Liberation on my PS3. Unfortunatlly AC3 Liberation is for PS Vita. I connected my PS3 to my Vita and started Content Manager to transfer AC3 Liberation from my PS3 to my Vita. Problem is I need to sign in to the account that was linked to my Vita, the same account that was taken over. I paid for AC3 Liberation and I expect to play it. I have tried linking a new account but its useless. The "geniuses" at SCE are of no help either. To put it simply I'm screwed.

You know its stuff like this that I hate. Why do I need to be signed in at all to transfer data between my PS3 and PS Vita? Makes no sense to me. At first I wanted revenge on the jerk who took my original account but now I say let him/her have it. I can make another one and start over right? Wrong. As I mentioned in my previous entry I cant play AC3 Liberation because its a Vita game downloaded on my PS3. I wanted to transfer it to my Vita using Content Manager but for some strange reason I needed to sign in to the original account that was linked to my Vita even though I changed the account that I had linked between my Vita and PS3. What the **** do I do? Somebody has to know the answer to my problem. Come on guys help a player out here.

Games are locked to the account they are downloaded on, no matter what console it is, to prevent piracy. Basically they are DRM protected to ensure that people can't just transfer them to other console owners by copying them to their PS3s and then to their friend's PS Vitas or PSPs.
If you own more than one PS3, PSP or Vita, as long as they are all registered to your PSN account (up to the limit allowed) then you can re-download the games to all of them) but that's as far as it will go. I've got most of my Minis installed on my PS3, PSP and PS Vita and my PS1 games split across the three but if I changed user accounts then, quite rightly, I'd lose the lot as - as far as Sony were concerned, I'd be a completely new user and would have transferred all the content I'd bought to someone else with my old consoles and would need to buy everything again.

How can someone "take over" your account??
If your Vita was stolen then phone Sony to deactivate that account on that [stolen] Vita.
I am making assumptions here that this is your situation though.
Can you shed more light on how someone has "taken over" your PSN/SEN account?!
I'm not being a smart a$$ or trying to be clever here. I genuinely want to know how you found yourself in this situation. ![]()
