The suggestions given by them didn't work, and it's likely that the memory card is just broken, so I've pretty much given up. I'm going to just use my new memory card, which was the exact thing I was the reason I was trying to go through with this backup--so I could put my stuff from the original card onto the new one. But I barely had much on it, so I've just started anew. Thanks anyway guys
