PS Vita: General Discussion

Hi

Can anyone help me with a problem.

I have been trying to download "Frobisher Says" for the last two days but I keep getting errors. First tried it via the Vita wifi and it gets stuck around the 398mg stage and then just says error. I downloaded it all via the Ps3, then connected the vita it takes ages to transfer and when it finishes it says error with content and my disk space on the vita remains at the 500mg size. I have backed up the vita and then performed a system restore which has not helped, and finally I have update the firmware to the latest version, but again no luck. Not sure what else I can do I have read others are having the same sort of problem.

Go onto your PS3 then download list of the account you redeemed frobisher says then download it onto your ps3 then transfer it to your vita

Have already attempt a transfer from PS3 which did not work so I have now deleted that file and hope the new one works.

Tried tonight to do it another one via wifi and again got the error, code again -  E-80103a27 at 397MB.

Just redownloaded on PS3 via content list and connected vita, the green transfer bar gets 75% across than goes REALLY slow to finish (5/10 mins) then get the error message could not copy content

error code C2-12687-4

Did not work out cheap for me as I also stupidly paid for the extra content!

I think you are running out of space on the vita. You say that you have 500Mb free and you are downloading 389Mb. When the game installs it needs twice the space because it has to install and then remove the source file which means that you would need about 800Mb free. I noticed this when I downloaded the free Wipeout the other day. It's a bit annoying as it doesn't take long to fill a memory card.It's a shame that it cannot do the install from the PS3 rather than copying the source file to the vita and doing it from there. The 4Gb card I got free is pretty much useless and now I've got a 16Gb and waiting for the price to drop on the 32Gb. I'm definitely buying full games on physical media rather than using downloads although so far I only have Uncharted.By the time you have bought the memory card and paid the PSN price for a game it is much more expensive

In all honesty I think this is the kind of thing you would give to someone that has just seen a ps vita for the first time. Other people that have had one for more than 1 minute will quickly get very bored of it. it is cheap so its that big of a deal. but still is it worth that?

It's not really that more expensive buying a physical copy than over psn as both will still need you to buy a memory card anyway.

The problem with the store is it doesn't reflect price drops in the physical copys.

But then the prices are set by the developers so they will want to try & get every penny they can who can blame them though.
